rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

someone getting back into journal rp after being out of the loop for a while: is the term "tag" falling out of use or something? some of my old rp friends still use it, but a bunch of new people i've added use "prose" or "pose" instead.

I was going to post in the pairings you want to play on the last post, but then I finally got a bite from the other half of my ship on a post in another community. It makes me so damn happy.

you know, i really want to keep liking scorpion, but they just keep falling into the really shitty rut of piling on more drama on top of more drama on top of more drama. if you can't pull off an episode with one bad scenario without resorting to adding five more, maybe you need to work on your writing. i like the idea of a genius show, but i'm bored of 'solved the problem. oops, new problem. oops, new problem while trying to solve other new problem. oops, new problem right after we solved the first new problem but still have the second new problem.'

this doesn't make me more interested. this makes me roll my eyes.

you know what? no. I'm going to fight this and see things through. even if I feel like my gut is going to explode like something out of Alien. I can outlast the pain! fucking deal, digestive system.

How do you handle someone who has to be right about everything and always "corrects" you, assuming you still want to maintain a friendship with them?

For instance I'll be talking on plurk about a scene from canon and how it relates to something I want to RP, and they'll "correct" me on something minor about the scene that may not even be entirely relevant to the discussion. I don't think they intend to behave so condescendingly but that's exactly how it feels, like they're trying to show how much more knowledgeable than me they are or embarrass me in front of others. If I thought they were doing this maliciously I just wouldn't talk to them anymore, but it really seems to be a case of not understanding social cues.

I've been waiting weeks for a test meme to go up.

Get home, look around, and just half an hour before I have a chance to post? Someone else popped up with that exact rare character. I'm feeling unlucky.
