rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Well, looks like the mods were listening. The new plot looks promising, good and full of mayhem and gross horror.

Also I'm glad we can actually do some harm to the Bloody Bones this time, also that they're actually present.

Players to flake out? I'm waiting for the mods to get so busy it takes forever.

It feels a little like the mods read our complaint threads here and threw everything into one event to appease us immediately. I don't know how they can sustain all of this at once.

It looks cool, but I don't trust the follow-through.

"a little like"? it's obvious at least a couple of the mods are glued to rpa/wg. i'm not gonna shit on them for that, but they make it pretty obvious. there's such a thing as gradually implementing changes.

I think if the mods of ryslig are glued to RPA/WG they ought to adopt some policy of only acting on the second most recent post, in order to avoid whiplash like this. I wish them luck and all, but responding to anon comms as they happen can only further burn-out and put a sense of pressure on what's already a time-consuming job.

mods do a thing you don't like? "wah let me complain on rp anons!"
mods see rp anons and implement complaints for something you do like? "wah i didn't want it THAT fast!"

hey, if they can pull it off, i'm all for it. but they've pulled the "read rpa/wg -> implement changes immediately -> scramble and fail when things fall through" routine before, so forgive me if i'm a little skeptical. whoever the mods are that are in charge of plot and events, they have issues with pacing.

mods, if you're reading this: you don't have to address every anon complaint in the same post. if people say they want more political discourse, more body horror, and more attempts to mess with the bloody bones, they don't have to be smashed together in one event. you can take your time with it. don't focus on instantly pleasing everyone, focus on running a coherent game that your team can keep up with.

Well at least now I know I'm burning out and it isn't just the mods because I can't make myself get excited for this. :(

It looks hopeful for the game, though. It's the first real horror event Ryslig has had in a long while.

I sort of enjoyed planning what changes to give my character but... nah. Can't work up the enthusiasm to actually do anything with them.
