Since there's at least four of us and I have no one else to talk Destiny with.

What do you think the big update that's supposed to hit in a few months will be about? I know we're getting some kind of New Year's thing near the end of the month/February.

I don't comment here often so maybe there are 5 of us, and I don't get to talk destiny very often either so here I am

I am hoping for more updated strikes, otherwise I don't have a clue. Hoping for something more significant, but I have no ideas :( (bungie please update VoG)

Also emblem for playing between 7-12 January, iirc, so don't forget to do a daily story or something. (But if you're like me you play every day anyway orz)

Well, there is still another round of unreleased exotics. This list (https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3lyxef/heres_a_list_of_the_remaining_new_year_2_exotic/) is a bit outdated now as Tarantella and Twilight Garrison at the least are both out now. There are year 2 versions of older exotics in the database that haven't been released yet, too.

Like anon above, I'm also hoping they add some more old strikes to the year 2 playlist. I'm almost certain they'll be adding Summoning Pits at some point as there are two new dead ghosts that are only available during that strike (and a couple more on route to it). I'd like The Nexus and Winter's Run back, too. Anything for more variety.

Other than that, I'm not really sure. Pretty sure there won't be anything more significant until Destiny 2.

honestly i have no idea what they have planned for this next update but i hope for this year they release updated versions of vault of glass and crota's end esp if we're not going to get any further dlc until the destiny sequel

i rly miss vog in particular :'[ sometimes i still run it just cuz why not

I still run VoG and Crota most weeks with the clan in a belated attempt to get the Mythoclast and Crux for my Necrochasm. I'm also on PS4, happy to help if I can.

I don't have any canon characters or ocs, but the more I play the more I wish someone would make a dwrp game. imagining various fandom characters waking up as guardians is so much fun

unfortunately this is the only way a destiny game would ever work. i'd rather have it completely made up of ocs because i'm not a fan of au games, but you know how well that flies there.

but as long as i could actually app in one of my pcs from destiny, i'd be okay with it.

I've thought about this a few times before and the consensus I typically reached was that people wouldn't show up to app, lol. I think what could work better is a sort of open musebox/dressing room that allowed AUs and OCs. I think AUs would fit more seamlessly into the setting and having OUs just being revived there would introduce a running theme where everyone wants to leave and I'd rather have a game that has basically the opposite (OTOH, the image of a bunch of OU characters joining Dead Orbit is kind of funny, Jalaal would be so pleased).

Honestly I think a Destiny game would have taken off if it managed to get in before the big space/sci-fi wave that swept DWRP last year, but alas.

I'd totally sign on to help mod this. I'm so into the lore of the universe and I think the factions and potential for player and mod plots would open up some really interesting interactions and doors to some great CR. I have way too much on my plate to spearhead that kind of thing or act as a head mod type in any capacity but it's a really cool idea.

I've been hankering to do something with this character since I picked Destiny back up a few months ago. Just made the account a day or so ago and would love a chance to psl or meme it up with people.

Pretty sure there was a weekly update before Bungie went into hibernation that said they had two major updates planned for 1st quarter. A smaller one akin to Festival of the Lost and then something much bigger. In typical fashion however, that's all they said.

I'm in agreement with the other anon who suggested that perhaps the Phogoth strike is coming back on account of those new ghosts. (that one in the little cave on the side of cliff was a bitch and a half to get jfc)

does anyone have any tips for the crucible part of the first curse quest? i got 7 headshots in a game of rumble and when i checked the quest progression it marked me down for 5/7 (i checked at one point when i had been killed) and then got two more, but after the match it said i had zero? did i just miscount or is there something else to it?

death is probably penalized. you must have died enough times that it completely wiped your progress. surprise!
