rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. I've thought about this a few times before and the consensus I typically reached was that people wouldn't show up to app, lol. I think what could work better is a sort of open musebox/dressing room that allowed AUs and OCs. I think AUs would fit more seamlessly into the setting and having OUs just being revived there would introduce a running theme where everyone wants to leave and I'd rather have a game that has basically the opposite (OTOH, the image of a bunch of OU characters joining Dead Orbit is kind of funny, Jalaal would be so pleased).

Honestly I think a Destiny game would have taken off if it managed to get in before the big space/sci-fi wave that swept DWRP last year, but alas.

I'm still more interested in OUs being ported in than AUs, and I think structure wise it would probably shape out the way eachdraidh was at its height. Characters would probably naturalize, but if you really thought the 'must get home' would be a problem, maybe take a route like the character was approached by the traveller in a weird dream and agreed to come help, or the traveller appeared at their canon world and they signed up to help that way somehow.

Sci-fi and space games have been running in ljrp and dwrp for a really long time so I don't think it's missed the boat. I've been hankering for more fantasy based games as much as the next person, but I still think a destiny game would be cool, and it has a fusion of sci fi and magic and mythology which would make it different and appealing.
