But in that context, as Pearl DID seem to know the other Pearl, it's closer to an offensive use of it, then positive. I mean, I think going to either extreme for a throw away joke is silly, but if you're going to, using a line pointing out how obnoxious it is too assume everyone of X type know each other, in a situation where X DOES know the other X, is sorta the opposite of the point of it. It's underminding the point of the concept.

I mean which could work in some media as a sorta...turning the comment in on it's self, but if that's how they meant it, it fell flat that way.
