i'm afraid that i don't know very much about this whole situation - although otomegirlkawaii is the one who heads the group overall and is the one who wrangled us all together, each game's translation team is pretty much its own separate unit. i'm only working on black wolves saga, so i don't know what's going on in the starry sky group, but to my knowledge, nobody in the BWS group has left. (i'm staying on, too!)

i do feel the need to mention that i'm fairly certain there were attempts to contact Rejet + Asgard about localizations before any of this happened, but we didn't get responses. don't take my word on that, though. i'm just a translation grunt and plot/character consistency checker LMAO.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I wonder what exactly is going on with the other groups then.

Do you think that trying to contact a localization company and having them try to contact Rejet would be a better way to try? They might have contacts or at the very least they have an easier time trying to get in touch with them.

to be honest, we don't have a huge amount of contact with each other, so it's also totally possible that people did leave and i just don't know... sweats.

and maybe! i don't know very much about which localization groups would be good to contact for that, though. i admit that i'm kinda thinking about trying to contact rejet myself and asking about possible localization, but at the same time, i'm worried they'll slap us with a C&D too if they find out about what's happening. i don't really care about the work i've done going to waste or whatever, but i would be pretty bummed if i couldn't share this great game with my friends - that's the reason i wanted to work on a patch at all. (prior to this group's organization i was translating the entire game by myself on vnreader)

Hopefully there will be some news on the situation soon.

Personally I'd like to see Mangagamer get a hold of the licenses for Rejet's PC games if possible but that's just me. They're pretty open about working with fan translators and very easy to contact so there's that. It would probably be better if you tried to work with a localization company than to try yourself but you go with what your gut tells you!

I apologize if I may seem a bit pushy when it comes to wanting a localization. I just really want to show my support for official releases with my wallet.

And I do understand the hesitation you with trying for an official release since there's no guarantee that things will work out. I hope with whatever you decide that things go well!

you're not pushy at all, don't worry! on the contrary, i'm glad there are people who feel strongly about otome game localization and translation. :) i'll look into talking with mangagamer.

if things don't work out with mangagamer for whatever reason and you don't feel discouraged in trying again, you could also try contacting sekai project and jast usa to see how well that goes too?

Contacting them through support would probably be a good idea as well. It might be even better than trying good_haro on twitter. I just thought twitter might be a faster way to get an initial response so that's why I listed it.

And I agree. While my ideal would be Mangagamer if it doesn't pan out because they aren't interested they should totally try Sekai Project or Jast.

Can I just say I'm really grateful that you've been working on Black Wolves Saga even if we may not get to see the end result? I struggled through a single route of the game with my limited language skills and Translation Aggregator and I've always really wanted to see more of it.

awww, you're welcome! i will do my best to produce an end result one way or another. i don't know if my translations are still there (the software is still in development and is thus kind of buggy and lost my stuff on more than one occasion) but if you play black wolves saga: bloody nightmare through visual novel reader, i'd translated a lot of the game using the program! it was pretty casual and definitely incomplete, but i think i added translations for all of the common route and most of the cat routes, if you're really hankering for more.
