You wake up on the ground. Maybe you were fighting and got knocked out, or maybe you were just walking down the street, or maybe you went to bed as normal. Whatever it was, you have nothing but the clothes that were on your back. The walls are made of mud and the floor is stone, and the room is empty except for you, a brazier, and a woman. She sits serenely nearby in a sheer robe, legs folded as she watches you calmly.

"Welcome, stranger," she says. "You're on an island called Iwi, in the temple of Keb. The gods have brought you here for some purpose. If you have any questions for me, you may ask, though I may not be able to answer. Otherwise, you may go to the courtyard and wait with the other visitors. Go in peace."

The courtyard is full of palm trees and fruit-bearing bushes, and you can see a jungle stretching above the walls of the temple. As you make your way over to a cluster of people who look as out-of-place as you feel, the gates of the temple are pushed open...


Temple Gates is an action-adventure incentive-based smut game, set on a tropical island. There is no smut AC, and characters can live and participate in the plot without having sex, although they may not like it. Temple Gates accepts fandom characters, OCs, CRAUs, and fandom OCs or minor characters without a strong connection to the main cast. Temple Gates has multiple systems in place to facilitate CR and encourage characters to spread the love, and will afford players many opportunities to affect the plot and the setting.

Zombie Game Idea (Initial Game Setup in Progress)

The Basics
Premise: A small/medium sized Survival/Horror/SoL game that takes place in an abandoned town surrounded by a dense fog on the outskirts. Characters have to try and find a way to create sustainable living for themselves in an area with cold winters and scarce supplies. It initially takes place in a mix of Walking Dead style Zombie apocalypse with 'Silent Hill' entrapment, with potential for various other zombies and nightmare/hallucination monsters to eventually become a part of the world around them. (Especially from the worlds of characters who join)

Plots: Zombie hordes, viral outbreaks, passing antagonistic or friendly survival groups and small-group plots focused on exploring nearby towns, farms, warehouses and vehicle graveyards for supplies when the fog lifts.

Arrivals: An event every 3-8 weeks (announced ahead of time) and would be presented as a stray group of characters passing through town. Current players would also be allowed to add Original Characters (‘NPCs’) to the mix that choose not to stay in the town, while the new characters will end up staying, either by choice or force. Spaced out and irregular arrival groups to remove a certain layer of predictability

Character Limit/Cap/Player Cap: One Character per player limit, but with players able to request to play roles as an OC/NPC in events such as arrivals, exploration or survivor clashes. A loose game cap that is adjustable, with player feedback as we go along, to see how people are feeling about game size/speed. There will be an app cap that changes every round based on the game's population and drops, (will be indicated on the reserve and app pages each round). First app round cap will be 20-30 players. Each following cap will be somewhere between 5 and 20 depending on game size and player feedback. No hard game cap.

Death & Consequences: Potential to play as a zombie version of your character/be infected and slowly become a zombie in game. Deaths come with consequences, that increase with number of deaths. Characters can be scarred/permanently disfigured from injuries in ways that are not reset with death. I.E. Character A loses an eye in a fight with Character B. Later dies in an unrelated event and returns still without the eye. This does not hold true for injuries in zombie form.

Slice Of Life and World-Building: Players not wanting to participate in exploration logs/fights/etc can focus on the more SoL aspect of rebuilding the town, creating sustainability, taking care of the town and people in it, training/teaching and more. If characters work toward creating things like power, communications, etc they can create these things as semi-permanent fixtures, but they would take time and have to actually be played out/put time into and feasible for the characters to manage. (for example: Restoring a radio station could provide a way to get warnings to multiple people in town with enough radios located, finding and hooking up a generator(s) would require fuel runs to be successful to keep power running, etc)

Setup/In Game info: The town will not have a map, with the idea being to let people visualize it as they please. Descriptions will be generalized with no specific town size laid out, and characters can live in houses/buildings around town to player’s liking, alone or with other characters as they please. Zombie attacks will be randomized and could just be a handful of passing zombies that keep moving even if not killed, to a full city horde of zombies that linger until killed or lead away. No permanent town NPCs will exist to explain things, though recurring NPCs may show up more than once.

IC/OOC Day ratio: 1:2 ratio, where day one is daytime and day two is nighttime.

Test Drives: Will be focused on immersion. I don't want people to play out their introduction to the game in a test drive, and then have to rehash when they show up. This will also be true of the sample for the application. I think providing a pair of prompts for both the test drive and app cycle will let people get their samples out. They can play them out in the TDM or write one up based on the same prompts for that cycle, whichever they are more comfortable with.

Characters Allowed/Power Nerfing: Game-breaking powers will be nerfed but powers will not be removed. Canon Characters and Original Characters will be allowed, though Canon OCs and CR AUs will not. No character age limit.

Applications: A brief summary of canon history or OC’s history/world, A short introduction to the character’s personality and two samples of writing. One within the game setting that is not an introduction post, and one that can be anything you feel displays your ability to write, and demonstrates how you write your character.

AC: I haven't decided yet, what AC will be like. There are a lot of systems these days that could work, and because this is a smaller game, in theory, I would prefer the ac not be too difficult for players to get in time. We might do a reward system, but in either case, I think I want to leave AC off for the first round and let players offer suggestions once they get a feel for the game.

As with last time, I would love thoughts/feedback/ideas on this, and to know what sort of things people do and do not like about the concept and basics I mentioned so far. As well as questions about how other things will be handled. Thank you, anons.

Hi, I play Charlotte - uh, Charlie from the Five Nights at Freddy's novella that came out recently, and I'd really like to do RP stuff with her! I would gladly run fighty PSLs against antagonistic types, since she's good at dealing with them, though I am up for anything really. Adventure/horror stuff preferred because that is her canon right there.
