I sure would like to play from them. I suppose those characters are usually not played though, right? Harvest Moon was what got me into RP originally but it was all OCs, I'd kind of like to play a canon character.

Stardew Valley is just rekindling that.

So would I. I've always wanted to try Karen, Kai, or Luke, TBH.

The thing that's always stopped me is trying to think of what kind of game they'd play well in except maybe R29.

i followed the game's development for 3 years and actually didn't know you could have a same-sex partner until after the release
