Yes.

And it's nothing new. I've been online since the early 90s, and there have always been people going on trips to visit online friends. Before that, there were people going on trips to meet snail mail penpals. As long as you take some basic precautions (like making sure you have enough money to bug out if the person turns out to be a complete weirdo or not at all who they presented themself as being) it's not that big a deal.

i read whatever crops up on my fb feed that people repost. for daily stuff, i find i like checking in on the philip defranco show. i'm canadian and a lot of his news is 'american-centric', but he's also one of the ones that branch out to discuss global news (yesterday's included a discussion about what's happening in kashmir, india, and pakistan) and he'll give his personal opinion on things that hit him (like abuse stories or garbage people), but he's also open to discussion and tries to share it from as unbiased an opinion point as he can with most things. i enjoy it and have been watching it... gosh. for about five/six years now?

my so rps on omegle a lot and just got invited to a rp discord for the fandom we're in. they pulled me in too because i play someone who also was wanted there. but we told the person inviting us that we're both nearly 30 when they asked, and then we got in and they're all like... 13. we explained this wasn't appropriate and left, but now i'm terrified those kids are gonna still be out there being unsafe :(

I'm relatively new to dwrp and it's been so much fun up until recently when all of a sudden it hasn't been. Most of my CR has dropped and I love the 1 or 2 people who still remain but I'm definitely feeling stuck and going in circles with my character, and I'm a little bit stumped on how to solve it. Should I toplevel more (I haven't really much recently)? Tag out more? All of the above? Or is this a sign that I'm burning out from the game/the character in general? Tell me how you get your spark back anons :(

Tagging out more always seems to help for me. In this climate, people are usually willing to play with you if you do the hard work of tagging out.

with the way mods get treated nowadays, it wouldn't surprise me. the only way a mod can play in their own game is if they're anon mods. otherwise, their characters get triple the scrutiny for doing what everyone else does and some people kiss their ass. then you get the people complaining about how flaky they are while also demanding they actually mod their own game 24/7.

i don't care either way. i can see it making sense and it wouldn't bother me.
