why are all of the support guides online centered around who i personally can romance and NOT which of my fire emblem barbies should i be smashing together so that they may find True Love

which is to say: does anyone know which A-supports between units are romance-oriented? i could just look them up but trying to avoid spoilers!

(actually also, i'm just curious given the controversy: are there any non-het romance supports between the units, or are the characters in question all conveniently gay/bi for byleth?)

1) is the branching choice when you speak to edelgard in the monastery, or after the holy tomb battle? i've already spoken to her and agreed, but i have a save right before jic
2) which route is the "default", edelgard's or the church's? or basically which one is better to do first?

hey anons! i haven't read this series but i've been meaning to, and today i heard there's a sequel coming out later this year. some book-bloggers are organizing a read-along in september, one book per week, be first read or reread. so i thought i could take that chance to finally jump in this fandom, all the discussion going on will make it more fun.

i know the series is popular in dwrp. would you guys be interested in getting some discussion going here too? (i don't use discord but if someone could start a room for it too)

I personally loved this special. I felt this was faithful to the original series, and it was like watching a new episode from that era.

There were very few moments I wasn't laughing out loud, and I'm going to admit, I've been watching this special over and over.

I don't know if the show's humor just hasn't aged well with me or what - I haven't watched more than one episode in years and years - but I wasn't really feeling it. It seemed like there were a lot of slightly too long stretches of rapid-fire "look it's that one gag we did that one time in the 90s, and here's another thirty of them while we're at it, okay that's it that's the joke" and a lot of the poking fun at society stuff didn't really have the clever, snappy energy I remember. It was all just sort of blunt and overly soapbox-y, like the increasingly dated whining of animators still mad about computers.

I also thought the coming-out storyline was incredibly dull and did nothing that I haven't seen every other generic coming-out story do for the last several decades, but apparently some people are getting real mad about it anyway so I guess that's reason enough to do this yet again.

So basically I'd rate it a C while admitting that I've probably lost my taste for the show's humor after all and it's probably aimed at people other than me, which is fine. It's still neat that there's any Rocko content at all and I'm glad for the folks having a blast with it.
