yeah, i was excited to have female byleth s-support edelgard but it was so... one-sided? byleth shows 0 reciprocal affection to edelgard. at least robin and corrin had actual dialogue when they romance somebody.

and if people want f/f edelgard ships edelgard has like four paired endings. admittedly bernadetta/edelgard isn't super romantic but lysithea/edelgard has some angles you can work and edelgard/dorothea is great.

iunno in general im kinda surprised at how much fandom seems to not realize that there are paired endings in this game that don't involve byleth.

it's disappointing but it makes sense. people can either self-insert/project onto byleth all they want, or they can characterize byleth as whatever kind of oc and no one would mind. byleth being canonically boring as fuck leaves that creative liberty wide open.

that said, i have seen more non-byleth m/m ships like sylvain/felix and claude/dimitri. it's more of the f/f side of fandom that seems fixated on female byleth for shipping.
