What's the difference between relating to a character (or seeing bits of yourself in a character) and soulbonding? Is it just the levels of creepy attachment or something else?

soulbonding is believing you have some sort of otherworldly connection to a character, like believing they live inside you and can "front" (take over your mind and body for a while) or that you can speak to them via the astral plane or something

it always comes with creepy levels of attachment and delusion but it's possible to be creepily attached without being a soulbonder

Anons familiar with star stuff, are there any websites I can use to calculate days celestial alignments occur on? Like when x planet is in the 5th house with y planet in trine or whatever. In general any resources you might have on that would be super helpful

that might help with the trines and such; you'll have to look up what angles go with which things because I don't remember past conjunctions being within 8 or so degrees. There are a few other tools on that site that look like they'd be useful also, but for finding planets in certain houses this might help:

Remember that planets are in different houses at different times of night combined with different times of the year. Around dawn, the first house matches the sun sign (so someone born in late July would be a Leo, and if born at dawn their sun would also be in Leo and Leo would be the first house.) It then moves around from there.

For further searching if you want to try your hand at it, things like trines, squares, etc are called aspects in astrology.

the ability to remove/dock the screen, individualize conversations, and it takes up less ram (a lot less).

there's a lot of reasons and it's mostly that and i don't want to voice chat or make excuses not to do that/vid chat. i also think it's too clunky. i know aim is pretty monstrous and ugly too but i use a slightly older version that's a little more "clean".

My husband and I are thinking about checking out a swinger's club. The idea is not just to expand our horizons sexually but to make like-minded friends. There's a membership fee and an application, so it's pretty thorough on its requirements for who can come.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but there are some things about it that make me not 100% sure this is what I want to go with. I was more on board with the idea until I checked out the website. They have pictures of the cabin they meet in, and the decor is really oudated and kind of tacky. That's not really a deal-breaker, but the admitted double-standard on bisexual members might be. Bisexual women are welcome, but bisexual men are warned they may be met with strong resistance if they proposition another man. It really bothers me that they enshrine this in their member guidelines. This isn't selfishly motivated either - it's not because my husband is bi, but that the attitude is a fliappant "yeah it's a double-standard, but that's the way it is."

Am I right to feel like this is an issue? My husband says we can apply and go once to see if we feel like it's a place we could fit in, but I don't really want to spend $50 on a membership fee if we're only going to decide to go once. But the hypocrisy on that bothers me. It makes me feel like they're not as open and accepting as they like to present themselves as being.

I'm too awake to properly articulate why that bothers me so much but I have to agree with you on this, it's super sketchy to me and definitely makes me doubt how opening and dedicated to making sure the environment is safe and comfortable they actually are.

so my game has list mods. one of the list mods seems to have abandoned their list and, as such, the player contact page for my game is MASSIVELY out of date. i've tossed my hat into the ring the last time they had applications for list mods. with all that in mind, is there a way to ask the mods that someone please just update the damn player contact page without me sounding passive-aggressive or like I'm gunning for the player contact listmod's job?

the thing about characters like this is they work in their own canon. i'm sure there's a lot of relatively stupid, for-kids media that has super-genius characters who could outsmart hannibal. which is unrealistic as fuck but that's what happens when you play in a panfandom game. it's near impossible to play characters like that unless everyone's willing to bend their own canon to fit yours. so you either make a ton of sacrifices or don't play them

but if you're talking memes/psls, who cares? who's judging? play him if it sounds fun and do your best. doesn't matter as much.
