i have literally spent money on new ways to dress up my pixel dragons. i'm not proud.

i signed up with fr because of all the hype and it was just... okay. not bad, but i don't see why everyone's so into it, ending up dropping it after a couple of months. what's so great about it, anon?

it used to be more fun. there was more of a community presence and new genes made dragons and color combos a fun project. but now it's like, there's no way to gain money, dragons are selling for dirt cheap and you can't give them away (even the ones you have to spend an arm and a leg to gene), so it's lost that bit of fun. the only thing i enjoy still are the elemental festivals where you might find a cool skin.

ah, i got fed up because i couldn't earn money quickly enough to make the lair big enough for all my nests to hatch. i can see how it would have been better if money was easier to get. shame.

yeah, back when i first joined, if you snagged a cool new gene early on and a couple hatch now scrolls, you could gene up a new pair, have a nest, and sell a new dragon for close to a mill, if not more. now, crystal/facet/glimmer (which used to go for 900k with good color combos) are closer to 30k, if you're lucky. and people just aren't buying. so you exalt. i mean, you could train them up and exalt for more, but it's just not worth it in the long run.

i didn't realize exalting was such a big thing at first. i sold a few of my first hatchlings, looking forward to see what happened to them and... bam, exalted. think a couple of them didn't even get names. i know it's dumb getting attached to online images but really? couldn't even wait for them to grow up and breed them first? yeah, really remembering why i ditched it all now.

it's for dominance. the more you exalt, the more points or w/e you get and when you're searching for a dominance push, everything's fodder. cheap dragons get bought and exalted or bought, trained, and exalted when there's a push. there really is just a shitty market over there for turnover. too much breeding and too many dragons and just no way to make a buck. and people still sell shit for WAY too much.

screw dominance, i just wish i'd kept my dragons. ending up not exalting a single one, bought or bred, which is dumb, i know. i mostly had to play on mobile, which kept crashing if i did games, so there was basically no way to earn cash except through the marketplace, which required a ton of tapping and checking on a tiny mobile screen, so... far too much effort. fare thee well, dragons. you were too good for this cruel interwebs.
