i need some advice about credit.

my credit is 650ish after i started paying on my student loans. the only two credit cards i have were opened in the past year, and adding the loans onto my credit report was what dropped it down to 650ish.

i just got in the mail a pre-approval notice for another card. should i open this up? is better to have another card with a higher credit line or should i just stick to what i have? i've never missed a payment and i never make big charges on my other cards, like basically everything on my credit report is excellent but "age of accounts" and "number of accounts" so i'm not sure what the best move is here. any of you anons have advice?

Shred it.

As long as you aren't keeping high balances on your current cards and you're paying your loans on time, your score will improve. Opening a new line of revolving debt will be useless.

If you think you need more credit, you're better off talking to your current card companies and seeing if they'll raise your limit. But if you don't need it...don't do it.

when someone has really badly drawn icons of their oc, i like to imagine the character literally looks like how they're depicted in the icon, dysfunctional anatomy and eye-searing photoshop colors and all.

You know actually, I had something sort of weird like that happen a while back. I was out doing some trail scouting, and I was out in the middle of nowhere figuring out where we were gonna have this trail run through. I hadn't seen anyone else for probably a good two hours, so I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, I was just looking at the ground for the most part. Then out of nowhere, I crested this little hill and almost ran into this guy. He was older, probably in his sixties, and I started to apologize to him for running into him. And then I noticed his face, and I probably looked like a complete douchebag because I stopped and just stared at him. It took me a second to figure out what was wrong, but this guy's face was huge. I know that sounds weird, but that's the only way I can describe it. His head wasn't big or anything, it was normal, but the amount of space his face took up was just way too much. Like if you took someone's face and enlarged it all by about two times. He doesn't say anything, he just kind of looks at me, and I backed up and was kind of stuttering and saying I was sorry, and I went around him and fucking got out of there and did what I needed to do. The whole time, I kept looking behind me because I was so freaked out that he'd pop up behind me or something. I know it sounds ridiculous but I swear to you it was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

Dumb as it may seem, I've been stockpiling ones that I like for years and have them all collected in a word doc. Sometimes I'll scroll through and delete ones that I know I'll never use or I don't think are funny anymore. It saves a shit ton of time having to slog through the site.

those horrible sandbox-type communities where players could rp their irl selves alongside characters. i was in two of these way back when. there was just something stupid-fun about interacting with ic characters as your ooc self, even though it was terribly unclassy.

is it just paid accounts and renames? do people really buy them enough to support the site?

i've bought a bunch of rename tokens but that doesn't seem like nearly enough

well, they don't have a large staff, and they have a limited about of server space to keep up. all the paids and extra icons we buy adds up.

it also helps them when we buy points and use them later.

i haven't been on lj/dw in years. i just thought about rp today and decided to check this place out. i'm shocked at how dead it is/how few games there are left. is it just that people are moving to different venues, or did a lot of people suddenly grow out of the hobby at the same time? i mean, when i first started rping, most of my castmates had full time jobs or were full time students, so i'm not sure it's about time management.

In the year -1,000,000,000, rpanons might not have been here. In the year 2011, it was here, and you could post to it, and some people posted to it. Then, livejournal got rid of subject lines, and a lot of people who hadn't already moved to dreamwidth moved to dreamwidth because there were subject lines.

Works for the government and loves her job. The only thing she loves more is her two brothers, Darien and Jack - one Special Forces, the other a local detective - who raised her back in Texas. Scully is pretty much the third brother. She curses like a sailor, sleeps around when she feels like it, drives a fast car, and enjoys a good fight. What motivates her is solving other people's problems, even if she has to bend or break a few rules to do it (much to the annoyance of her partner Mulder). But Scully isn't entirely tough. She may also have a weakness for buying things on eBay and eating her weight in black cherry vanilla ice cream. You just have to get close enough to her to see the softer side. Scully's other half is Fox Mulder. Not Gilian Anderson. Muse/mun over 21. Threads will contain profanity, sex/smut, and possibly be un-PC.
