Do you use bar soap or body wash

I use bar soap but my bf uses body wash and I don't get the appeal. I find it very hard to lather without a loofa and that I have to use a ton of it which seems super wasteful both monetarily and environmentally in terms of packaging and shipping

Back when the RP sock community was a thing there was some talk about how we need some new blood in DWRP. And on the tumblr side of RP, a lot of people have been expressing the want to move to a different place. So I got the idea to make this community to try to help with that. I just made a plurk to help promote things.

what should i do if i want to drop contact with someone, but doing so will almost certainly result in fallout that causes my other friends to hate me

my other friends are good people, but they can be kind of gullible, and the person i want to drop is really, really good at manipulating people into thinking they're an innocent angel and everyone else is the devil.

they will definitely notice if i cut contact with them, even quietly, and they will definitely try to smear me because of it. this person has stalked and badmouthed people for literally years on end, people who haven't even spoken to them once in that time, over the most trivial shit (and from what i can tell, problems they themselves caused). they used to wank about this to me, trying to make me hate the other person. frankly, they freak me out a little and i want to gtfo.

do i just have to resign myself to losing my friends? i guess i will if that's what has to happen, but i'm wondering if maybe there's a better way to handle this without causing a shit storm

sure, some of them will probably buy the shitty story, but generally most of us have been in this hobby long enough to know that there are three sides to every story, and we resent the dumb fuckers who are trying to "win" us with some sob story

Do you tag it all to your partner's tag, or do you tag them once and tag the rest to your first?

If I'm tagging their post, I reply to my own tag because combobreakers take all the fun out of it. If I'm tagging them in a thread, I reply to their tag. The neat alignment of my reply matters more to me than the state of their inbox.

Anons, how do you know when a character isn't a good fit for a game, as opposed to other issues that can make a game unfun - a lack of effort on your part, a string of plotting/planning that didn't go anywhere, the game itself being stagnant or having poor events, or just a regular rough/slow spot?

can you think of things for your character to do? more than just sitting around doing nothing or only hanging out with castmates (if you have any)? if you can actually do something with them that isn't be an awkward duck, then imo, a char can fit in the game. it's the ones that app in chars that have to rely on someone else to do things for them or to open up plots for them that don't fit. if you can't play on your own without cast/hand holding, that char is not a good fit.

i don't subscribe to the 'that genre isn't appropriate for the game' mentality. kiddy chars and goody fluffy disney princesses can totally fit in a horror game. you just have to be willing to play out that kind of angst/stress/trauma and not turn it into a ME ME ME LOOK AT ME ME SO MUCH TRAUMA ME ME ME show. the same applies the other way. you can take dark, fucked up characters and fit them into sol or fluff games. you just have to be willing to actually work around it and find a way to fit them in.

nothing pains me more than someone that brings in a character and puts zero effort into fitting them into the game, then blaming the game for being shitty, except maybe people that aren't the mods of the game trying to dictate what char types they feel are appropriate for any given game. if a player can make a good case in their app for why x char can play in y game, i say go for it. the worst that happens is that they suck and drop, right? they won't destroy the game. i wish more people would just try things instead of being so paranoid or anxious about failing. so you fail. try again. this is fantasy, not real life. you have as many do-overs as you want. 1up.
