➢ Ripped away from the life you've previously known, consciousness finds you in the midst of ancient imperial Rome. The only thing that follows you are memories and possibly a few scant supplies on you before you arrived. Friends, technology, even clothing are discarded or left behind. Upon arrival, newly equipped in the ephemera of a time not your own, you are given a simple choice: help Olympus save itself or find yourself condemned to crawl back up from the depths of Tartarus. Assigned to different patron Gods and Goddesses, your characters will work to earn new abilities to help fight in the gods' new war. Fasti is a historical fantasy game, set in the midst of ancient Rome, steeped in Greco-Roman mythology. Characters will be thrust into the middle of a war waged between ancient deities, conscripted from different times and worlds, gathered together to live, work, and fight within the walls of the city of Rome.

memory-sharing game

feels premature pitching this bc i don't even have a plot yet, but i guess this can be an interest check and you can lmk what you think of some game mechanics.

basically i like the idea of dealing with inner demons made manifest. i tentatively envision this being an environment that exists alongside characters' canon worlds and they're drawn into it at random to do game stuff, while everything's on hold in their actual lives. they're more or less at risk of being destroyed by their own emotions and end up in this pocket dimension where they'll have to come to terms with them.

most of each month will be sol cr-building/training/group therapy sessions?, etc. and the last (week? 2 weeks?) will be the memory-sharing part. a small number of characters will be selected at random to be overwhelmed by a memory, which creates a mindscape that the other characters can enter, and there they'll have to fight personified emotions/the character's inner demons/whatever to help free the character from the grip of their dark emotions. (that's basically like persona 4, isn't it? fuck. anyway.)

the players of characters selected for a memory dive would have a set amount of time to confirm their availability to essentially run a dungeon event. if they don't respond, their slot is given to another randomly selected character.

players of characters who would be entering the mindscape would be allowed to enter singly, in pairs or small groups of 3-4. if a player signs up for a mindscape mission, they are expected to see it through to a reasonable conclusion. flaking on a mission will have ic and ooc repercussions. for group threads, every player has a maximum of 24 hours to tag when their turn comes up, after which they will be skipped. if they flake out of a group thread, they'll be booted from the game, 'cause ain't no one got time for that shit.

ac would be something simple like showing proof of participating in a memory dive, plus maybe one other proof. ac bonuses can be used to buy power-ups, weapons, etc.

players would be encouraged to choose several memories of varying importance to their characters to use as potential dungeons, because i'm optimistic and want to believe this would last long enough for everyone to get multiple turns.

Noncon/dubcon elements here are a given, I'm interested in basically objectification with the larger party just totally dominating the smaller one and using them for their pleasure with no regard to the smaller party's wellbeing. One of the main characters is suffering from the fandom tendency to woobify the cutie with issues, even though in canon he'll straight up murder someone without hesitation. It makes wading through fanfiction for an actually decent representation of the character very annoying.

anyone have any guides or resources on how to get into tumblr rp? i am interested but haven't the first clue on how to do it

i don't know of any guides but definitely make a "Rules" page where you can point out what you won't put up with (such as ship-pushing or pestering for replies.) also specify if you are "mutuals only" (will only rp with blogs you follow) or if you are open to crosscanon or ocs. if you're playing from a large or wanky fandom, you can also say you're "selective".

tumblr has games but you don't have to play in them to find rpers who will play with you. most rp blogs are "independent", meaning not affiliated with a game. a fandom will usually have an rp tag ("canon x" rp) where you can advertise your blog. once you start rping with a few people, you'll start getting more followers and rpers interested in you so you might have to be kind of patient at first.
