The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i'm really enjoying this game and the CR i've built. it moves at a perfect pace for me and while the metaplot has been a bit predictable so far (and seemingly catered towards folks from the last game) it has been enjoyable, and i've especially loved the player plots.

i feel it's important to note that i'm among those who were made very uncomfortable by what went down in the discord chat that was discussed on WG and felt like folks were very out of line with their ic/ooc boundaries BUT

but

i'm only pointing this out because it's not enough to actually spoil my enjoyment of the game because i think that's an important thing to point out. i don't want that spot of drama driving away potential players. it was a minor bump, that's all. we can, and will, get over it. you rock, melodies.

The wank was so stupid to begin with. It got blown WAY out of proportion. Should those people have had a better set of boundaries? Yes. Was it really worth a massive wg thread? No. I've seen more drama go down at a PTA meeting, and the wank happened days before everything went to light.

I will say that it did cut down on my activity in the game massively and also made me super uncomfortable, but it's all blowing over and is nothing game ruining. To be honest, this was a good thing to act as a reminder and warning for the future when someone eventually blurs the lines again. I've also noticed that many people in-game were against that rhetoric and felt pretty grossed out about it, too, the few times that it came up in conversation.

It shouldn't slow our steam or ruin the fun. We just have to be more mindful in the future, as a collective, to treat other people as respectful human beings and to not take all of this fake stuff too far. I still love this game and the cr and the plots. If I'm uncomfortable with a player, I just won't tag with them. Easy.
