Anon, see, you’re making fun of those people who want that SOL fluff when we all know it’s not all about tea parties and puppies. That’s just likely to make others more annoyed for looking down on their preference. Have some tact, because obviously this is a sensitive topic for some people.

Maybe the players would have liked a little more heads up about the plot, or maybe it should have be made more apparent that a player plot would effect the entire game. Maybe new players should have been warned that the SOL setting they had test driven into would not be the same setting they’d be playing in. Maybe some people were afraid to come forward beforehand in fear of being talked down by anons like this.

I just don’t like this attitude of screw them, they joined the game and now they have to deal with it without expecting complaints.

That being said, we’re in a bad end part of the plot and we have consequences. I’m sure players can find a way to still have fun in the meantime. Some h/c threads couldn’t hurt, and this opens the way for changes in CR. See, it’s easy to suggest alternatives without being callous.

what is it with players like you that can't seem to accept the fact people are going to get annoyed with others acting like babies? between this playerbase and the hadriel playerbase, you guys want to act like NOTHING IS WRONG HERE JUST PLAY NICE instead of facing the fact that some of the players in your game need to grow the fuck up.

The way I see it is that we have one group disliking the fallout and voicing their opinion about it and another group liking the fallout and also giving their opinion. People aren’t “babies” for not enjoying something other people do. This argument you’re trying to push comes down to someone not liking what you like.

It’s okay to not like something someone else likes. Doesn’t mean one side is stupid and one side isn’t. Besides, if you want to convince others to see it your way, convince them with reasons like how it can make new opportunity for CR or anything else. This vitriol isn’t helping your case.

I think there's also a group that likes the fallout but wishes we'd been given some sort of forewarning that something like this might happen. I personally don't mind it and plan on making use of it, but I also would have liked to have had an idea that this was a potential outcome, especially as my character wasn't involved in the entire plot at all.

I think it was pretty obvious what the outcome would lead to, even when you weren't involved.

Were you expecting the local population to just shrug off the fact a few Otherworlders attacked their local guardian?

The plot post has been there long enough for people to at least read and to expect some consequences of it.

you know there's a difference between "i wish the direction this plot is taking was different and am not enjoying it" and "wehhh this game sucks now because it's not conforming to what i want"

the only "big fucking baby" here is you, sans diaper and shitting all over people who have genuine concerns for a game plot they're intertwined in no matter what everybody else decides. maybe go take a nap and let the players here have a discussion that doesn't involve you thinking a minor difference of opinion is worth trudging over from wankgate and getting cranky.

lol your preference for sol vs serious shouldn't be a "sensitive topic", if it is then you need to touch grass
