just a suggestion for those who are struggling with their groups: rather than playing out group threads, i would recommend maybe playing out individual threads with the group your character is stuck with. from personal experience i've found that anything over 3 characters rarely goes anywhere, especially when you don't know what kind of players you're stuck with and one of them might be prone to dropping threads anyway. want new cr? just tag the character with the more active player in a thread where they're not with a whole group.

there are a lot of threads that just aren't going anywhere, a few of them haven't been tagged at all.

my biggest concern at this point would be having no idea how to have this event affect someone's character, i think? would you handwave meeting your whole group and just bullshitting something? if nobody responds to your top level, would you just decide that your character didn't find anyone and literally spent the entire event alone? personally i'm the kind of person who can backtag for weeks, but this event has a really specific time frame. What happens if someone finally does tag your thread, but it's not until after the event itself has ended and you've already decided how your character would be affected after not running into anyone else?

one of my groups is really struggling to get off the ground despite my efforts to get things moving, so at this point i'm planning to just roll with my character not having found their group at all and spending the whole event alone. it's a bummer, but honestly? i'm looking forward to the fallout from after the event, where my character gets to meet up with their cr again and try to recover from the trauma.

plus like other anons have said, this will give me an idea of who to tag for new cr in the future. silver linings, i guess?

if someone doesn't tag your toplevel until after the event and you've already decided to go in a different direction, i'd pm the player and tell them they missed the window so you won't be tagging them back. it's a bit harsh maybe, but that's what they get for the radio silence.

+1 to this, a successful four person thread requires everyone involved to be both active and communicative, and it looks like there's only one group really pulling that off so far.

if your (general you as in anyone struggling) group is at least communicative, you can figure out oocly how they would have found each other and then skip to individual threads with active players to actually get to the cr building. toss up specific starters for each groupmate that answers you, maybe? thread the whole group meeting slowly in backtags if people want, but the good stuff is usually going to happen one on one anyway.
