This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. What's getting my goat right now is how no one can just say what they feel and would rather pump you full of fake platitudes just to keep you hanging on.

For example:
'You're the best X! I don't want to ever thread with another.'
But proceeds to tag other X's and never mine, making me always come to you instead.
'I'd rather just play with you'
Again, tags everything else but our threads and continuously brings up how good!!!!! our threads are but omg so exhausted to tag anymore. Which means just our threads while everything else gets tagged and talked about openly.

It's an exhaustive list that'd take too much time to go through. Just tell me you're not interested. Yeah it'll suck, but this keeping people by a pity thread is exhausting. Why do a lot of you do this? Is quantity more important? Do you want people to just want to tag you and keep others waiting in the wings if your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices flake on you?

i'm feeling this too. 'ahhh this thread is so good ahhh i love it so much' >tags it once a week with minimal effort while talking about boomeranging until 2am on plurk every day

i give that about two weeks before i drop the thread, tbh. nobody wants pity tags just so somebody can feel like they're hanging onto all their ship options.

this bugs me too. especially when they keep going on about how 'perfect you are bb! i want to continue i swear!' and then drop you two comments after to boomerang everyone else ever. AND then act all surprised when you're sad about it.

"you're the best X!" or "you're my favorite X!" doesn't even faze me as a compliment anymore.

whether it's online or irl, it's basically almost always just empty asspats in my experience.

i've dealt with abuse and manipulation that involved me being my abusers' "favorites" even when they treated me like garbage compared to other people but i don't dare mention that shit lest the "ur my fave tho uwu" people go into overdrive to pat my butt as if ignoring me later isn't going to hurt twice as much. or they'll assume i'm batshit when i'm not.

there's no way for me to say try to look humble and say "please don't call me your favorite, you don't have to, lol" without them patting my butt about how great and FUCKIN' PERFFFF i am before they ignore me to go have fun with their other "favorites."

like damn, just be honest and say you're not feeling our threads. i'm not a fucking idiot.

in my entire life, i've only had one person tell me i was the best/their favorite "goku" and actually appreciate our friendship. i don't care if she rps dean/goku with other "goku" players but it's comforting to know that she considers me one of her closest friends and we can always make dean/goku jokes and vent about shitty dean/goku headcanons even if she isn't actively rping dean right now.
