I read it, and y'all are making a big deal over nothing. Yeah, it's dumb, but I can sympathize because I probably would have done the same when I was also young and dumb and wasn't afraid to express how much I love shippy shit. She likes shipping, and if other people like shipping with her, let them have their fun. No one is mashing my face into the screen forcing me to tag her or ship with her character.

if it's just shippy shit, sure it might be a tad overboard, but some people are like that with canon characters too

it's not just that, though. she consistently trots Dove out to be the most perfect character ever and look at her PB she's an underwear model!!! and has no flaws what-so-ever to speak of.

also the fact she only bothers to really tag people that have male characters she likes. i don't see how this isn't a reason to drag it out.

Unless you have a female character that you really want her to tag, she's not being rude. She's just RPing what she likes. I don't have any male characters for shipping so she doesn't tag me, and I am okay with this. Why are you not okay with this.

the second part isn't what bothers me as much as the first damn part and her constant need to have her character in the center of things. good lord, don't try and whiteknight her of all people.

I agree with Dove needing to be a little less perfect or needing to be the center of attention, but it's been brought up to the player, with poor results according to heresay, so let's just let that die and offer some decent concrit for people that might be looking for some, even if it's just general "things I like" like that one anon did above. That is super helpful for people that are looking to improve

There's a difference between defending a character, and thinking you're dumb for trying to stir up a hatefest that just ain't gonna happen. This is the latter. Someday you'll learn that difference when you figure out how to people.

Sorry I didn't get hysterical and grab my torch and pitchfork because a character is doing her own thing and starring in a play for a plot that she came up with because there aren't any real game events. She sure as hell didn't owe any parts to anyone else, nor was she required to make an all inclusive plot when she just wants to play with her friends (you know, like most RPers do) so again: y so mad. How is this hurting you or depriving you of RP in any way, shape, or form?

Okay this I will weigh in on, first all stop, you aren't helping and are actually making this worse

two, don't post a fucking "sign ups" log when there's nothing to sign up for. That part was hurtful(less so) and overall annoying(much more so).

Literally just handwave the sign ups and post a planning log or something, that would have made more sense.

I can't argue about the lack of events...but that's also all over wankgate and let's not repeat ourselves.

why the fuck would you put a sign-up log if all the parts to sign up for won't even get threaded out, anyway? I don't get the logic. Yeah, I can have Goku play such riveting bit parts as "innkeeper's wife" or "slave master" I guess, but unless I want to start an entire thread where he gives his two lines and disappears, there's nothing for anybody else to actually do.

I know the point was probably "look at my character and her cr and how beautiful and amazing they are" but goddamn. I'm less offended at that and more at how shitty this entire plot was from a technical standpoint.

A lot of people plot things exclusively on Plurk though. And Dove just recently organised a huge open party log, plus generally makes open posts. Not every single plot has to be OTA.

I'm not talking about their track record, just the fact that this particular "plot" didn't need to be a plot at all. It reads more like someone wanted gamewide attention for their log but didn't want to commit to actually running a real plot.
