Sexism and me: This is one of the ones I only noticed in the last few chapters but it's a really big one. I'm likely about to sound entitled and/or pretentious because I'm a member of a so-called 'privileged' social group, but I've noticed the WTNV novel is sexist towards straight men, and here's why: There isn't a single positive image of a straight man in the entire novel. Consider the following: The Man in the Tan Jacket is an incompetent, self-defeating screw up who expects other people to solve his problems for him. Troy Walsh is (to quote the WTNV wiki) "childishly irresponsible" and the epitome of the straight Male stereotype. He casually moves on from impregnating one woman to the next only to abandon his children, he spends his days in a bar getting hammered and only interacting with his other drunk buddies, he's described as heartlessly lazy despite all evidence to the contrary, and when he tries to be helpful (which he is very good at) his very presence is a nuisance, no matter how how well he does his job. What about the other SM characters in the novel? Shouldn't there be at least one positive representation?

Ask your vet about it, anon. They can give you a more educated answer than anything you'll find here, on TVm or through google.

Note that even though they're expensive, you don't need a RX for these products. So the vets aren't recommended Advantage over Wondercide because they're making money off it, but because they actually believe the former is safer and more effective for your pet. Considering you have to spray the wondercide every day for it to be effective, it might actually be cheaper to pay the $15/month for the topical or pill, even if it seems from a distance like a $25 bottle is cheaper than a $115 box of twelve.

Do you guys have like that one super minor physical thing that nobody else would ever notice in a million years and you know it, butyou're still kinda self-conscious about it?

I have this hair follicle on my wrist in the middle of a freckle, and the hair that comes out of it is noticeably thicker and darker than the rest of my arm hair. I know no one will ever notice it, but it still drives me crazy and it's hard not to pick at it.

Yeah, of course! I feel like this is super common. I have different colored eyebrows (one is bleach blond, the other light brown) so I always feel like my face is totally fucked up if I haven't filled them in, but no one else has ever ~naturally noticed my brows without prompting, so I know it's mostly in my head.

Just pluck the hair when you notice it if it bothers you! I have a little pair of tweezers I leave in my bag for just that kind of thing.

Hard mode: spf in your makeup and moisturizer don't count - it lasts approximately half an hour and to get the protection they quote on the bottle you would have to dip yourself in it.

citizen kane is broadly considered the best film ever made. ymmv on whether or not this is true, but imo it's worth a watch regardless. my personal favorite in terms of classic classics is to kill a mockingbird.

for more modern stuff you could try googling some lists since opinion tends to vary on those.

smashbox primer, sometimes with benefit's pore-fessional
dior forever or their cc cream for foundation
dior skinflash for concealer
i flipflop between nars' orgasm blush or the balm's single blushes for a more matte look
nars' albatross for highlight
mac or dior's very very light bronzer if i'm feeling lazy
shiseido brow powder or...i forget the brand, but target has a great eyebrow pan too
usually i wear fresh's sugar lip balm every day, but i'll wear any lip brand for color/intensity if i like it. elf and stila for lip stains and gloss pens, obsessive compulsive for really poppy lip tars, smashbox or revlon or cheap as shit stuff for lipsticks

i have a smashbox contour kit but i rarely use it unless i'm taking photos

i think my setting powder is makeup forever? but i've worn mehron's anti-perspirant setting powder in the summer for outdoor cosplay a LOT, absolutely get it if you're gonna be somewhere hot

skincare wise i use tony moly's aquaporin line with fresh's soybean-based face wash, but i'd like a different wash brand since i got this one for free in a kit welp. my exfoliator is either tony moly's egg pore steam dealie or european wax center's gel- the latter is really really great for sensitive skin. no scrubbing!

a couple of moisture masks and i'm set

somebody that i know is going to apply for disability (usa) because she's a welfare queen stereotype and doesn't wanna use her money to pay a sitter for her baby so that she can get a real job. she has a "job" selling stuff for a guy but that pays cash so nobody can prove anything. she has absolutely no disabilities and is banking on depression getting her to an approval when she has no real medical history. she just thinks that it'll be easy-peasy because i didn't have to wait literal years and didn't use a lawyer. because i was homeless, actually went to psych wards with a history of self-harm, and had medical professionals backing me. granted, i didn't have insurance growing up so i didn't have a real medical history either, but the closest that she's been to a psych ward was to visit somebody else.

i doubt there's a chance she'd ever get approved, but what should i do in a situation like this? do i call and leave an anonymous tip? do i let them know who i am and mention that i didn't have to wait years and that's why she thinks that it's easy money, or would that sabotage me?

i've only ever taken a brief look at tumblr rp, but theoretically if we were to transplant the idea of their rules/guidelines pages to dwrp what kind of things would you want to see?

i'm thinking prefs like tagging speed, tag length/format, etc. shit that you wouldn't necessarily include in the ooc notes of a meme toplevel but would be handy to link instead or for someone looking to contact you for a psl. personally i think it's a cool idea and i might start doing it, if only so i can finally make use of the profile pages of my rp journals.

not exactly high quality but i'm really partial to this brand. the chocolate isn't overly sweet (usually boxed chocolates are so sugary they make my teeth hurt and these usually don't) and they make it easy to avoid chocolates with nasty mystery fillings by having boxes of all caramels, solids, etc.
