I've got a Peter Parker and I'm not afraid to use him! I'd really like to find as many Marvel heroes as possible to play with since Peter is so friendly and I think his reactions to being a part of the world of superheroes is refreshingly pure. Open to gen as well as shipping, though obviously with an older Peter for the latter.

Especially interested in Tony Stark, of course, because that dynamic is my favorite to explore. I'd also love to play off a Steve Rogers in either post-CW or retconned-CW situations. Scott Lang would be such a funny mix of cool dad and crazy friend. I'm a bitch for Peter as a junior science bro and geeking out with anyone (coughShuricough) about pretty much everything. I would also kill to bounce off a Wade Wilson for obvious reasons. Not very familiar with the Netflix canon, but if you're flexible we can work something out.

A closeted jock's manager proposes a fake dating scenario between him and a popular popstar to raise their popularity. The jock initially rejects until the popstar is revealed to be a crossdresser, and the managers insist that it's a fake relationship so neither of them are actually distracted from their careers. Finding this to be the perfect opportunity to be "openly" gay, the jock pursues the star and the star is curious enough to give it a go. The star gives into the jock's whims to the point where he's crossdressing 24/7, in chastity, and in a public relationship.

There are a few things I'm interested in playing like the jock going from not liking the star's crossdressing to finding it a turn-on and a fetish he can't fuck him without, backstage sex, "cheer up" sex (ie jock gets thrown out of a game for being too rough, star placates him), intentionally teasing the other while performing, edging, etc.

I'm looking for someone to play the jock, I'll be playing the popstar. PM me or leave a sock. I prefer iconless OCs or anime PBs.

2. equally vague: an angel and an immortal. open to this also being a guardian angel situation, an investigation, some kind of secret, scandalous affair kind of thing, whatever. up for discussion on this as well!

That AU Game Set in Deep Space Idea

I posted about this a few months ago and got a little interest, but I still haven't been able to find anyone to help with mod duties. I'm interested in doing an AU game inspired by the 2016 movie Passengers. Characters would be AU'd into the universe, and put into stasis for the long trip to a new planet. A few years into the trip, something goes horribly awry, and passengers begin waking up long before the stasis is supposed to end.

You can view an extended premise here, but that's all I've put up as of yet, because without any comods, I can't take the game beyond planning stages. I have most of the ideas solidified--the plot would be finite, but with lots of room for player-run events if they wanted, interspersed with both lighthearted bungles and serious crises that characters will have to work together to solve--but I really need at least one other person to help me out with maintenance and coming up with event ideas. If there are any folks out there with some modding experience, or at least good organizational skills, who might be interested in lending a hand, I would really appreciate it. Feel free to respond here, or PM this mod journal. A sock is fine.

(PS: the layout is only temporary; I wasn't going to put together a bunch of code for something I wasn't going to be able to get off the ground.)

i'm looking to play ellen from the witch's house. i'm considering apping her somewhere, but i want to play her post-game, when she's already living in viola's stolen body.

what is dwrp's policy on this kind of character? she would be wearing viola's face and introducing herself to others as viola, but she would still be ellen. is this be a case by case thing i should ask mods about? and what's the best way to make this clear for people i will be playing with who are not necessarily familiar with the canon?

how do you make a successful game?

there's been some discussion about starting new games, how to get them off the ground and how to keep them going. to be clear i'm not interested in what type of premise people find most attractive, i'm interested in what steps can be taken to build interest and get people to actually participate in a new game with a unique premise.

so here are my questions for mods and former mods of games they started from scratch and ran for at least 5-6 months. (size doesn't matter here. duration is the key.) how did you start your game? how and where did you advertise for it? what time of the year did you open your game? how much of a role did your friends play in helping you get the game rolling? did you have a reliable group of friends willing to join your new game to help get it off the ground? did you have instant success or did it take a while for your game to gain momentum? did you have a tdm? did you have a co-mod at the start of the game?

for players looking at a new game and debating whether to jump in or not: what makes you want to actually buckle down and app into a game in the first app round? do you need to see a friend or castmate in the tdm first? is a tdm necessary (assuming app samples can be taken from other sources)? how much do game graphics and codes matter to you assuming the content is readable, easy to understand and well written? where do you usually hear about new games? do you hear about them from a friend, in plurk/discord or do you see them advertised elsewhere?

have most of the info pages done/finished before you do an interest check. i have seen too many new games rush out an interest plurk about some game premise that wasn't even half fleshed out or completed and it all fizzled out by the time they threw up a tdm.

anons, what would you consider to be an average/acceptable thread length, factoring in rl obligations like a full-time job, family, etc.?

i'm counting my tags for my game's ac, and while i meet the requirements easily i feel like my threads are too short, they reach about 8 to 12 comments long (total from both parties) on average by the end of the month.

i'm trying to re-evaluate my management/methods to amend this, so advice would be nice too. i think the biggest thing at the moment is that i'm spreading myself too thin, so i'm gonna try to avoid topleveling next month and see how it goes.

it really depends on the thread.

smalltalk or convo based threads are for me usually a set up for a second, longer thread. maybe 8-10 comments each.

for threads with actual substance, I took a look at my last few months of rewards comments for my game and I average about 15-20 comments from each side on the lower end. some threads hit 40+ comments from each side in a month.

I primarily write prose, if that matters. I also work 9-5 M-F.

it depends. is it cross-canon? if so, it'd bother me a little, since our cr is something built between us and it's unique to us.

if it's a canonmate for them, then no. i'll admit to being a little jealous, though, especially if i'm waiting on a tag from them.

what does it mean when you can't reply to a single meme on BS? my other accounts work just fine, but not the one I'm try to reply with. a message doesn't pop up, the screen just refreshes as if my comments about to post but then nothing.

i considered the meme poster might've banned my account, but I thought that you weren't about to reply to THEIR actual JOURNAL entries, not an entry on a comm. I'm confused.
