so who's ready for the next part of the pre-patch event? me, i'm hoping we get the hippogryph mount tomorrow, since i think the tree's supposed to burn.

also i accidentally replaced my legendary chestpiece with one from the darkshore wq's and vendored it when i was cleaning out my bags. fml.

I want both mounts, but the hippogryph especially. It'd be perfect for my hunter what with those arrow quivers on its flanks.

Also ouch on the vendored leggo. I think you can just buy it back with enough wakening essence now though?

The hippogryph's nice, especially if you want one that's more muted in color and not circa 2007. But that plaguebat? It's everything I ever wanted in a mount. It appeals to every one of my gothy edgelord sensibilities.

also I still miss the pre-legion invasions, I binged the fuck out of leveling a good ten characters in those. it's nice to have pre-expac content that isn't just for max level characters.

FFS, even just give me more than four WQs a day, most of which have been giving me the same reward. I'll get like...three quests giving the same weapon, and one with an armor piece.

Send a ticket in, tell them a rough time and date of when you vendored it. I've done this before and they helped get my item back.

I'm confused as to why the runedogs didn't get the updated darkhound model. Do their glowing markings really make it so much harder to update them?

The salt I've been finding regarding this has been mountainous.

I was just talking to a friend of mine about Sylvannas, and he said that "there was no way they would do the Garrosh story all over again." I think we underestimated how much Blizzard recycles plots. So much for a morally grey story.

Completely unrelated, but why is it 9/10 warlocks never dismiss their fucking pet? Gnomeregan? Warlock jumps down before dismissing, pulls half the instance. Blackrock Caverns? Warlock jumps down before dismissing, pulls extra packs into a boss fight.

Worst part is when you're a hunter and you get blamed for the warlock's fuck-up.

since i'm leveling a hunter through mount hyjal, let me just go on record and say that "save the wee animals" is the worst fucking quest ever and i hate it. trying to click on tiny, fast-moving rabbits and squirrels is an exercise in frustration.

i wouldn't even bother if i didn't have to do all the hyjal quests until i unlock the molten front. it's the only way to get at the three spirit beasts there.

kinda bummed. that saurfang cinematic was great, and i know there's still plenty of content to come! but i'm honestly pretty disappointed that blizzard didn't take a different direction with sylvanas as warchief. i feel like there were more interesting stories to tell here that probably won't be told now, if what people reported from beta ends up playing out.

God damn this has brought out the grade-A nerdrage. Blizz seems to be implying that the nelves are all but extinct, and people are freaking out in response to it.

Of course, like someone pointed out, Golden's really bad with the scale of things in the game, like writing as if you could actually walk from one zone to another in little time or that Arthas invaded Silvermoon with "hundreds" of soldiers. I doubt we've seen the end of the Night Elves in the story, despite what people seem to be thinking.
