rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. looking for a game for connor from detroit: become human (i know don't @ me)

(preference-wise: more plot driven over sol, not too picky on specific genres, like a network but not a dealbreaker, castmates lovely but not required, medium pace preferred!)

I know this is kind of a specific list, but I just know what I enjoy most these days.

Here are some things I'm looking for in a game:

a.) Lots of varied fandoms, low incidence of fad canons where possible. Not a deal breaker, I just like variety.
b.) Simple AC and mechanics. I was in Reco for a while and just found all the extra tallying and forms annoying, not looking for that again.
c.) OC friendly, I actually have a fandom character in mind, but I always like the option.
d.) Slow paced and backtag friendly. I am not able to keep a consistent schedule due to health problems, so looking for an atmosphere where that will be ok.
e.) Optional mod plot - if I don't want to do the mod plot/monthly event it still works for me to play the game.
f.) Emphasis on interpersonal CR over action-oriented, both is great I just prefer the ratio to side with the former.
g.) Horror elements would be a big plus, but I can live without.

empatheias sounds like it would work well for you, anon! It's got everything you want minus the explicit horror elements, but you can work with the setting to create your own horror/dark stuff if you want.

I've been absolutely dying to give Chairface a try ever since I bought the collected editions. I'm open to any and all suggestions, but I'd love, love, love a game that allows his out-there brand of villainy (for reference, he once attempted to carve his name on the moon).

Are there any games where smut is allowed/encouraged, but not outright required (by AC or a smut sample on the app)? I'd like to try a smut game one day, but I can't write it very well, so I'd prefer a more lowkey kinda experience first.

El Nysa is smut friendly and has smut prompts (or it did back when I was there anyway) but a normal AC, but I think that's pretty much the only game that's smut friendly without requiring sex threads.

Do people commonly play smut out, there? Or is it more of a weird quirk that people don't tend to pay much attention to?

tbh when I was there I didn't see any sex played out at all, but it's a big game so I definitely could've just missed it. it's a very minor optional thing, iirc.

Honestly anon, if you're interested in playing smut out, you should consider apping to a sex game anyway. My smut was fuckawful when I started but the only way to get better is to practice, and you're not going to get a whole lot of practice anywhere else outside of setting up psls.

Tbh I feel like there haven't been as many smut options in the events as their used to be. The last vaguely available one was two months ago before the dragon attack. None the less I've played out plenty of smut here upon taking up many of the past options that were available. Curious to see what the next available option would be.
