Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

seriously depends on the thread. small talk is where boomerangers excel and rack up 50+ comment threads, but it's very hard to sustain at a slower rate. people who try to wrap up (or drop) a conversation thread in under 10 comments have already gotten bored with it. action, deep drama, etc, those are more about making sure the intended action took place, so it could be ten comments or it could be a hundred, who knows?

threads when you don't really have something planned aside from acting/reacting to one another during an event, well. it depends a lot on whether you and the other character are both getting what you want out of it. even at 1-2 tags per day I've gotten interesting and lengthy event threads with a variety of characters, but also shorter ones because it just didn't turn out like either me or the other player expected.

basically, thread length isn't as dependent on your time management and schedule as it is the point of the thread. if your inability to tag at a decent pace means people aren't interested in pulling teeth to get CR, that's one thing, but it could also just be that you're also tagging the slow taggers so if you're both alternating a single tag a day, of course you're not going to get more than 12 or so comments per player.
