rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I enjoyed the premise but it was rushed out of the gate too fast for me. They posted the TDM very quickly after posting the interest check and the first ad. I've just now had the time to sit down and look at everything, and apps are already only 4 days away. I think if we'd had more time in between the ad and the TDM, more people would have posted.

I think the mods could've taken some more time to flesh out the setting as well. As anon above said, it feels very empty and barebones. This is a good concept for a game but could've used more time all around.

"rushed out of the gate too fast" coupled with a hasty TDM describes the biggest problem most new games have, and why they fail. Everyone's so desperate to be the next Big Thing they forget to fill in the details of the actual game, and then this happens. The moral of the story is of course to stop trying to be popular and to focus on the fundamentals but we're so stuck in this cycle I doubt anything will change anytime soon.

the tdm looks like it was written up as an in-game event and just slapped on there for a tdm instead of writing something that would fit best as a tdm. why would you have an opt-out for a tdm? why not do a prompt that was focused around school life in a school game? why offer a full au to begin with when samples for the app would need to be 'character X' not 'character X but as a lemon drop person'?

it feels like they saw the interest check, panicked, went "oh shit, we need to get a tdm up," and slotted the first event as a tdm without really thinking what works for a tdm
