rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. No one said anything about feeling owed. You guys are really projecting your own feelings onto this, it’s weird you keep assuming shit like that. Are you speaking from your own feelings or something?

When you realize someone has dropped your thread in favor of playing with another version of your character, it’s normal to be disappointed and feel a little jealousy. But then you move on. No one in this thread has said anything other than that it hurts to see. Nobody has said anything about elaborate revenge plots or stalking. You see someone dropped you, feel a little shitty and wonder why, decide they’re a threaddropping dickweed and look for a replacement. How the fuck is any of this wallowing?

OP asked because they want to be considerate of someone’s feelings and the consensus has mostly been “if you aren’t planning on dropping one person in favor of the other, most likely they won’t be bothered.” Nobody said anything about “feeling owed tags above every other version.” You don’t have to tag me first. But if you drop my thread, yeah, I’m gonna be a little hurt. That’s not possessive, it’s giving a shit about what you spend your time on.

But the op literally doesn't say anything about anyone dropping any threads. It's about scrolling through bs and seeing someone you're playing with also playing with another version of your character. They didn't drop any thread. They even clarified later that they're the one waiting on a tag here.

There's a huge difference between being a bit hurt that someone dropped you and then ran off to a meme to find another version of the character to play with, and being hurt that someone is daring to play with someone who isn't you at all. That's where things get fucked up.

I didn’t misread. I had mentioned dropping threads in response to the anon I was responding to and their point was still that getting upset about it is over-possessive.

You’re both right and I agree with you, my point from the beginning has been “unless you’re dropping the thread with them, they probably will not care.”
