Having to be actually funny pops up all the time as a reason in Characters I'll Never Play threads, so what are some stories of people disregarding this and it turning out really, really badly? It sounds like it would be incredibly painful, given the average dwrper's idea of wit.

haven't tagged them in a while and don't see them anywhere else that would really work for my character and theirs

wondering if i should hold out for a better meme/situation or try and force any of these prompts to awkwardly work

i wish gen/shipping memes were better consolidated and more flexible, and that the bakerstreet culture was better about scrolling past memes throughout the week and still posting into them...we don't need a single meme for every individual kink or gen idea flooding and over saturating the comm.

i always wonder if the subs in anime are supposed to sound as stilted and awkward as they often do or if that's the fault of the subber translating it poorly.

it's a little of both. or, rather, the dialogue doesn't sound stilted and awkward in japanese, but translating it to english makes it sound very stilted and awkward sometimes due to the inherent differences in the languages.

however, a lot of it does have to do with fan subs are not professionally done and so do not have the highest quality.

Animoya is a hybrid, a blend between mink and bunny, a "minny". A blend many will rightfuly fear could quickly overpopulate the world. Which looking at hir, would seem to have been the point of whatever crazed mad scientist who brought these genetics together! At any rate shi's not as young as shi used to be, just slipping out of hir 20's now (never ask a 'lady' hir age!) Shi's moving out into the wider world here looking for some fun, and some friends, so don't be afraid to say hello!

the one weekend when i've been home and sick is the weekend everyone i'm playing with has been busy

I've got a ship partner that, lately, has been tagging far too slow for me to really be enjoying it as much as I used to be and has never seemed to be incredibly interested in the ship anyway. Over the past few weeks I've been contemplating asking her about it and seeing if I can go look for someone else to play the ship with (at the same time as to not hurt her feelings), but I just didn't for whatever reason, and this morning she brought it up herself.

Apparently she's had some really rough problems with suicidal depression and she's afraid of people leaving. So this... makes me feel hesitant about looking for someone else to play my ship with, even though I'll still be playing it with her.

Should I go do it anyway because I just really want someone who is more invested in the ship than her, or should I keep my trap shut and be happy about what I do have considering the ship's a fucking shiny pidgey and it's not like anybody else is going to play it anyway?

This canon has 2 main characters. There's debate over who is the "true" MC since the story focuses on both equally and THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE.

I just suddenly was thinking about these two RPers who had a cross-canon ship going on, and it made me wonder what other people have seen and enjoyed following/playing.

The cross-canon ship I used to follow diligently was at C&C, it was Danny Rand from Marvel and Jason Todd from DC. Maybe they weren't the most IC but the way their relationship was progressing in the game was really fun to read. I hadn't been part of an RP where anyone put that much time into their character's relationships before so it was like a novelty lol.

how do you tell when someone actually wants sympathy and when they don't? i barely know some girl on my plurk but we have a mutual game and she made a comment disables plurk yesterday morning just complaining about life and then tonight she just posted this. i want to try to comfort her but I don't know if i should just leave her alone.

there's nothing that annoys me more than the people who hide the 'unfollow' button on plurk, in some petty attempt to make sure everyone HAS to follow them. sometimes i don't want to outright unfriend someone because we have some interests in common, or i want to be able to plot with them sometimes, etc, but i really dislike following them because of any number of reasons.

but if you don't have unfollow right there for me to click, i'll just unfriend you. enjoy the karma drop, bitch.
