any anons here have any experience/knowledge regarding bipolar disorder?

i have depression and gad and sometimes i worry about being bipolar too since it runs in my family. i previously asked about my derailing thoughts on rpanons last post and after an anon mentioned racing thoughts, i did some research and it's a symptom of bd.

i've been on a few mood stabilizers along with anti-depressants and they seem to help a lot, and that worries me. "if bipolar meds work on me, am i bipolar?" you know what i mean?

since i've been on psych meds i've been much more motivated. some people tell me i've been a little impulsive. they think i'm weird walking 30 minutes to the store instead of taking the bus. i made a huge purchase recently although i don't regret it. maybe those aren't even related. maybe, if i'm actually bipolar, i haven't had a manic episode yet.

am i being anxious over nothing? should i bring this up with my shrink and if so how should i?

i picked up a character months before i bothered to watch his canon and based my characterization off of episode transcripts and brief youtube clips. i was praised for being ic and fun to play with, and when i finally got around to watching the series i was satisfied with the accuracy of my portrayal and changed nothing about my characterization.

no regrets tbh.

so i was watching "my 600lb life" and after seeing it i don't get HAES. i'm all for loving who you are so who curr if you're ugly/a bit overweight/whatever, but how can a morbidly obese woman who's bound to a bed/wheelchair, has diabetes, can't sleep w/o a respirator or she'll suffocate, and other serious weight-related problems say she's perfectly healthy while simultaneously blaming health issues for her weight? like she'll swear she's healthy until you bring up the fact that her knees can no longer support her body and suddenly she has tons of medical excuses. and places like tumblr are fully supporting it. i honestly can't fathom this.

to make it rp related, my character made a network post asking if anyone wanted to join him in setting up a dojo/gym type place because there are shounen idiots everywhere who need to train. my guy made an offhand comment in a thread telling a weepy woobie to "come get in shape and spar!!". cue another character treadjacking with HAES bullshit and it honestly felt like they were just being a mouthpiece for their mun. i won't reveal the game/thread because it's a small playerbase but if you can find it, feel free to link for your own amusement.

the second part is probably because dwrpers let their own social justice opinions bleed over into their characters too much, which is why most games are full of sensitive body positive feminists who are accepting of everything whether or not that makes sense for the character

tbh it's held me back from apping certain character types (not hardcore white supremacists or anything in your face triggering) because i don't want thread after thread of "you said all these other things in this post but i'm ignoring them because your beliefs are wrong and this is why"

i judge people who are 20+ and don't have a driver's license because they're "too scared to drive." not having money for a car is one thing. and sure some weird people prefer to take the bus. but if you're letting a fear everyone has (driving for the first time) stop you from being an adult then something is wrong with you.

I think it'd be kind of cool to have like a "blind date" ATP post or meme, where instead of putting your character name/series you just describe your character in a few sentences and people can say if they want to play with them or have them at their game or something.
