I don't have the money for lessons, let alone a car.

my parents refused to give consent for me to get my learners when i was a minor. now that i'm an adult and free of them, i am saving up for lessons and a cheapish car, but it's realistically going to take a long while for me to be able have enough for those when i also have to pay rent, bills, etc. i am going to learn to drive eventually but it's not on the immediate horizon for me right now unfortunately.

When I can afford it, I fully intend to do one of those courses where you drive all day everyday for a week and take your test on the last day bc I think I'd learn better that way and it's probably cheaper

but even they cost a fucking bomb; I was gonna pay for it after getting my deposit for my student rent back in the summer (well over £300) and when I told my dad he was like "and what about the rest of the money?"
