I live with someone who refuses to learn how to drive. He never pays me gas but sometimes he buys me food so I guess it works out.

I wish he would learn however so he doesn't have to rely on me to go anywhere. So that he could have the freedom and independence to go where he wants when he wants. We don't live in a city and you need a car to go anywhere.

Lately his job is being downsized (he works in IT) and his position is being threatened because he refuses to learn how to drive. They want more on-all people instead of in-house. I try my damnedest to get him to learn and he pouts and whines like a stubborn child and says he'd rather lose his job than learn.

He doesn't think it is but it is a burden.

well if he loses his job i hope you stop chauffering him around, because if he's this much of a whiny piss ant about learning a skill he's going to be a real leech if he can't get a job.
