rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-23 01:43 am (UTC)(link)they're very intelligent, if they know they won't get a treat, they probably won't do what you want. they're independent and aloof like cats. my baby's affectionate in her own ways, she doesn't need to throw herself at me all the time. they're stubborn and they don't always listen.
definitely look up the shiba scream on youtube. my little girl doesn't growl/bark much (just at a squeaky toy i think she's scared of, lol) but they can wail like a baby. they can be overdramatic and use their scream when they're in distress. i've heard some do it if they have poop on their butts lol, because they're very clean, prissy and dainty. they clean themselves like cats and they hate baths. they don't like having their paws touched or walking in puddles.
what else... they can be dog-aggressive unless you socialize them with other dogs a lot. i'm already failing at that. they're escape artists. i can't remember everything i've researched, oops.
tl;dr: do your research!
if you still want a shiba after preparing yourself, definitely look at shelters first before you search for a breeder.
