The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i miss the days where cr developed organically through tagging, instead of people plotting it all out ahead of time, and then just writing it down.

who actually does that? i mean sure, i see people talking about wanting to get cr between two characters, but i have never seen people do that instead of threading it out.

i think it might be better to illustrate my meaning through example so

how it used to be:

person a: *throws up a post where their character does some action*
rest of game: *tags in and stuff happens naturally and cr is made*
(it is possible that beforehand, they may have said 'yeah let's def get cr with our char sometimes' and then took this as an opportunity)

how it feels now:

person a: hey guys i think i'm going to do some action with my character and i'd like it if (certain type of thread) happens from it
person b: nice my character would do this and this in response
person c: oh cool mine would totally be so this and that about it, then we can lead that into (certain type of thread)
everyone: ok cool now let's thread it out

Even worse, sometimes all that planning happens and then the thread either doesn't happen or only gets halfway and then gets handwaved. I don't mind the planning, but I don't want planning to be the primary activity and playing secondary.
