don't. at most keep your eye on her, but it sounds like she's potentially toxic, not to throw around an anoncomm buzzword. but this being a response to "I don't ask much of you" just feels like it could potentially be very telling of a poisonous personality...

op, if you really want to engage, here are your best and worst case scenarios.

best: this is really a cry for help and she doesn't realize how passive-aggressive it looks. send a private plurk and tell her that if she is engaging in suicidal ideation, she needs to get help. link her to some suicide hotlines. don't get sucked into trying to talk someone out of suicidal thoughts, because you're not a professional and you aren't equipped or prepared to deal with it. you may very well harm more than hurt someone in a suicidal funk.

worst: this is exactly the PA attentiongrab it looks like. if you engage, you will get drawn into a buttpatting fiesta until you don't know up from codependency.

seriously though, op i commend you on having a big and apparently innocent heart, but folks like this should be seeking professional help either for 1) serious suicidal ideation or 2) serious pathological insecurity. if you're not a professional, don't engage.
