i'm writing my first app ever and it's hard. i guess i should say it's the personality section that's hard, since i'm apping a main character whose personality changes pretty drastically over the course of the series. i'm worried his personality section is going to sound more like a history section with how i'm going over his development.

anons who play main characters, do you have any tips for app-writing in this regard?

Usually I write out his personality as it is at the canon point I'm taking him from, and then if I feel it's particularly necessary to understanding the character I add a snippet of what he used to be like next to the relevant current trait and a brief explanation of how he got from point A to point B. I usually don't detail his whole personality evolution and what caused it or whatever, because like you said, that's more of a history section thing!

do not refer to female characters with penises as a futa. do not refer to them as a trap. we are not shemales, ladyboys, or any other fucking gross terms people came up with. all are incredibly disrespectful and transphobic and really fucking shitty thing to call someone.

do not draw ‘herms’. do not refer to femme characters with dicks as ‘herms’. do not draw someone with a vagina with a dick arbitrarily attached somewhere above it. it actively shits on intersex people and is a really shitty fucking thing to do.

by all means, you can draw smut of trans and intersex people. there needs to be more acceptance for positive nsfw art of both. if you want to draw it, just check with someone thats trans/intersex to make sure its not unrealistic or disrespectful and youre good to go! and queer people will be happy to enjoy your art and youll likely reach a larger audience.

but stop referring to us with slurs. were all fucking sick of it, and altho we dont really have a way to talk to mainstream porn producers, we can still talk to you on here a bit. dont ignore us or act like were trying to defame you or something.

avoiding doing this shit is really easy. do so and youll gain a lot more respect as an artist from a lot of people.

I'm not sure if I'm burnt out on RP or just need a little break or just need new characters to play. I feel nothing for my current set. I'm not particularly invested in their future, I don't spend a lot of time imagining up scenarios to put them in, I don't even have theme lists. Tagging is a monotonous chore.

has anyone ever felt like they've seriously turned invisible online? no one's commented on my plurks in weeks even though i post the same memes as my friends and always comment on theirs. and multiple times in the past few weeks, i've had people blatantly ignore me on ooc posts and plurks.

I know this feel intimately. I try to get involved, show interest in people's RP and characters and they'll chatter at me in their own plurks about their things but it seems like nobody at all is interested in mine. Or my threads. I don't think I have a bad rep either, but it feels like being ignored. :(

i'm starting this thread mostly because i just remembered that i wanted to try danganroleplay sometime and once entertained the idea of apping leon kennedy or ashley graham from resident evil if i couldn't pick another character just for the sake of making the username "d734".
