i'm horrified that people use soap on their crotches. my gyno told me to never do that and just to wash with water down there because soap can mess with the natural bacteria and ph balance and cause yeast infections and stuff. that's one place where you don't want to go around killing bacteria.

on, not in. i don't go and fuck myself with a bar of soap, but outside around the labia works for me. i don't use perfumed or scented soaps, so that could be why i've never had a problem.

just water doesn't get it clean. you can buy specifically ph balanced feminine washes to wash yourself without risking upsetting the delicate balance of your vag.

Why are you washing your vag at all? It keeps itself clean, there's no need to wash it.

because your genitals sweat and can stink and not washing can let too much bacteria grow? jfc. it's summer. people sweat. i fucking hope to hell people wash their entire downstairs area. your vagina discharges daily to clean out the internal part. that doesn't mean that the discharge isn't an excretion like piss or shit or other bodily wastes that should just sit and chill in your panties.

uh if your bits are sweating that much you either need to start wearing a different type of underwear or see a doctor. your genitals should not be getting swampy even in the summer.

also unless you're changing your panties every few hours it's gonna be chilling in your panties for a while. it's not dirty and it's not going to hurt you and it shouldn't even smell unless you've got some sort of infection.

You're asking why people are washing their vagina at all because discharge should be enough to clean it. Some people don't want to have discharge sitting in their panties/labia for a week on end. Wiping while going to the bathroom doesn't get rid of everything.

FYI, some people sweat more than other people. Larger people sweat more. Even with no underwear on, in a humid environment, your crotch can get gross. You wash it.

And all of that isn't even taking potential sexual encounters into consideration. If I knew someone was going to go down on me, I'd fucking wash first. Same as I hope they'd give their vag/dick a swipe before I went down there. Do you just wash everything but your vag? Like, what the hell?

i wash it with hot water every time i shower, not soap, because it does not get nasty enough to need to be scrubbed down with soap. i do not understand why so many people feel the need to scrub every inch of themselves with soap all the time. your body is not going to get that nasty as long as you are showering/bathing regularly.

i have been using soap to clean myself since i learned to bathe myself and i have never gotten a yeast infection or a UTI in my entire life

just don't literally put it inside your body and it's fine, you shouldn't be shooting water up there either
