by this logic, are you saying foot flushers never wash their hands after taking a piss/shit and that's why they must use their foot?

well what other reason would there be for caring so much?

i use the toilet, i flush, and then i go wash my hands. any germs that get on my hands during that time are just going to be washed off so touching the flusher is nbd.

Or they could just want to avoid getting obvious piss, shit, blood, whatever on their hands. Even a person who washes their hands doesn't need to get more gross stuff to wash off on them. Also if the person has any cuts or any other open wounds on their hands, touching germy surfaces is a bad idea because they can get infected before they get a chance to wash their hands.

... anon. a cut is not going to get infected in the 30 or so seconds that it takes someone to exit a bathroom stall and walk to the sink. that is not how bacteria work.

i work with animals on a regular basis. i have been bitten and scratched by them multiple times and amazingly enough i have never gotten an infection despite the fact that sometimes it may be a minute or two before i can go wash the wound off.

so yeah, no, you really don't know how germs work.
