So a recent event has left a majority of my game in angst mode and my character is the type to not dwell on bad things that happen and quickly moves on. The giant negativity cloud is kind of annoying him and that makes him feel like a bad person but it also makes tagging really difficult because of how awkward it feels just getting weepy tags when my character isn't going to act weepy in return.

This is exactly why I stopped warning anyone other than my RP partner if I was considering dropping in advance. if you're trying to hide your identity on a new account (just for the hell of it, really), how much of a tell do you think it would be if you used your own icons? I only have about half a set of other people's lying around, and the set I made a little while ago (for a friend, I didn't play this character at the time) is fairly well-used.

Depends on whether or not you advertised your icons. It's easier to pull off when you regularly post icons to an icon and/or fandom community, since a ton of people go to those communities to collect icons.

First, gypsy is a slur. No matter what you think, it has been a slur for centuries. It’s where the term “gypped” comes from. It was believed that the Roma would rip gadje (non-Roma) off for money. Roma who escaped the fate of death at the hands of the SS and their dogs, the ones who weren’t killed right away, were branded with a “Z”, which stood for Zigeuner, the German word for “Gypsy”. They were shipped to death camps, where barely any suvived.

It is a slur still used today. Roma are called “Gyppos” while being beaten, forced out of their settlements, forced to move. They are called this when they are assaulted and even raped. They are victims of forced sterilization, forcible eviction of settlements, harassment by both law enforcement and citizens, fingerprinting simply because they are Roma, they are often ecxluded from schools.
