rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Yeah.

I've had some people threaten to kill me, beat me up, or rape me. You know, in a "maybe you'd realize how great being a normal girl would be if you had a nice thick dick in you" kind of way. Used to get bullied a lot in middle school because rumor had it that I was either a lesbian or a "heshe." I was never openly trans though, people just assumed shit.

Nowadays, people don't really care. I get some weird looks, especially in public bathrooms, but other than that, no one really bothers me.

Wow, that sucks. I've been harassed for being trans IRL, but luckily for me it was mostly namecalling or people taking it upon themselves to "educate" me on the notion that I am not "really" the gender I present as (though some of the scenarios involving that were beyond ridiculous. At one point someone trained their young children to confront me and tell me "stop thinking you're a boy" every time I walked past their house). No one's gone so as to threaten to rape or kill me yet, and I hope to fuck I never have to go through what you did.

Yeah, it does. And that thing about the kids is pretty creepy. :/ Did they ever stop?

It did stop, but that was because the family moved away around the middle of last year. I thought about having the cops talk to them when it was happening almost every other day, but to be honest I figured they wouldn't do anything about it, or even understand what was wrong with them doing it. I live in a pretty conservative area.

I'm glad the harassment finally tapered off for you. I think sometimes it's worse when you're young and other teens/kids think they can get away with fucking with you. As an adult, fewer people inclined to make a huge scene about it.

Yeah, I've never expected the cops to do anything to help me either. I live near a city that's known for its crime and poverty problems, so most cops that I've dealt with tend to treat you like a pansy because "AT LEAST THIS ISN'T [BIG SCARY CITY]!" Plus, it's pretty conservative here too.

Hah, it only stopped because I moved away, to be honest. My high school in a new district was muuuuuch more friendly and open-minded. I did my senior project about gender issues and not many people were surprised when I came out to my classs, lol...

are you out on the internet? like do other rpers know you're trans or do you just go by he and leave it at that?

A few close non-roleplayer friends know. I occasionally blog trans-related things on tumblr so that may or may not be a hint to people.

Sometimes I talk about trans things on Plurk, but other than that, I just go by he and leave it at that.
