serious question, anons: is it worth it for me to go get diagnosed with auditory processing disorder?

I'm pretty sure I have it, but I learned a lot of compensatory mechanisms very early on. I read insanely fast, I lipread, and when all of that fails I just nod and smile and read social cues to figure out whether I should say "yes" or "no" or be happy or angry or something. no lie, I have genuinely had a 15-minute conversation with someone in which the only things I understood them saying were "hey" and "bye."

it's been fucking with my schoolwork recently because it's impossible for me to block out background noise, and I'm in too many classes where we get told a lot of stuff verbally that's not presented in the reading.

I get by pretty well in everyday life, though, and I'm turning 21 later this year. idk I am just not sure it's worth it to fork over $2000 for this diagnosis. can any anons with similar experience weigh in?

My rp is more than this plot, and I'd appreciate it if you gave a prompt (re: within 24 hours) reply for once to I could move other plots along smoothly. the whole point of this versus the regular love meme is that it's UNSOLICITED. linking the fucking thing ruins it.

people get really, really mad when you call one that, which isn't even inherently bad, it's just that hussie made them as parodies of something. it doesn't mean they are bad characters. but you can't argue they're integral to the plot at all, and they are pretty depth-less compared to the more important ones.

i wanted to get a rough estimate of individuals on the appreciation meme so i just now divided the comments by 25, which is the number of comments allowed per page. we can take out the 'game namedrops' but replace them with people who haven't been namedropped yet, and can ignore about 10 or so because some people were posted twice.

my number as of right now is rounding to 271

Literally my entire timeline has been jumping for joy over their namedrop on the appreciation meme, congratulating each other and having a great day in rpland...

...I haven't gotten a single mention. And I've been on Plurk all day with unrelated things (I'm not going to throw a PA fit, if I did get a namedrop I'd want it to be genuine), so it's not like nobody's seen me to remember me since this went up.

I wouldn't get yourself down too much though, anon -- there's bound to be someone out there who thinks you're great! It may even be that your friends think it goes without saying, or the person who would post you in a heartbeat happens to be away from the computer right now.
