I need some advice about playing a certain character's sexuality, anons.

This character is a secondary character with quite a bit of screen time in her canon. She has had several relationships with guys in the past, has had sex with them, but no serious relationships lasting longer than six months or so at a time. Eventually, a girl in her canon hits on her and for a while, she questions her sexuality. She eventually comes to the conclusion that being with this girl feels right and so maybe she's bisexual but she's pretty certain she's not gay. She says this outright to both her girlfriend and her father at the end of her sexuality arc and she's content.

Unfortunately, most of the fandom is convinced that she's 100% gay because of some quips she'll give about how some guys hitting on her (really unwanted, skeevey guys) are fishing with the wrong bait.

Is it okay to play her as bisexual, then?

People who mod, would you appreciate someone letting you know when they're withdrawing an app or do you not care if they just delete whatever they posted on the app page. I'm asking because I'd rather withdraw than wait until my app gets assessed only to say I don't want to play in the game anymore.

My game does it by email so you can't really just delete it, but I still would prefer notice that you were withdrawing it rather than deleting it if we did it that way. Then if I had seen it earlier I'm not wondering wtf it went when I'm looking at apps again.

When a character ICly bluffs to get information, should you note that it's a bluff [ in action ], hint at it, or let dialog stand alone? I did this recently with my character where I *think* I hinted at it well enough. It went like: she had a suspicion --> she bluffed --> she got confirmation. She's done this once before in game and it worked that time, too, but she's done it other times and it hasn't worked.

I would try to make it as clear as possible in narration, in some way like "She hoped they wouldn't call her bluff" or some shit like that. Makes it clear to the other player that I'm not trying to godmode, because sometimes what I think is obvious in my writing isn't always clear to everyone else.

That and there's always going to be that one player who throws a shitfit if you don't spell out everything for them, so better safe than sorry.

- when you share a private timeline with dozens and dozens of roleplayers and are in the habit of friending any old person who joins your cast and doesn't radiate creeper vibes, it's not really "private". just something to consider.

- don't open up a plurk apologizing for behavior towards people by bemoaning the fact that someone removed you. because hell, if anything that just makes it sound like you only care about the number and not the people when you can't even tell who removed you.

- in fact just don't complain that someone removed you. seriously. with how roleplayers use plurk, "friending" is a term to be taken looser than a muumuu.

What makes a good intro post to you, anons? I just got accepted into a game that I'm really excited about, and I don't want to mess it up.

Basically, just give people something to work with. Do something that will prompt more than the standard "this is where we are, no we don't know why" regurgitation. Ask questions about your character's specific needs, do something that uses the setting, whatever.

Every game has a billion "Hello? Is anyone out there? I...I'm looking for my friends. Can anyone hear me?" intros. Don't be one of them.
