Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Was there anything that surprised you about attending university in Japan?

how far away the campuses were from each other, for one. if you have classes on different campuses on the same day, you need at least an hour of commute to get there in time. i worked out my classes so i only have to go to one campus a day.

also, student housing here is cheap. i got allotted into the more expensive ones and its still cheaper to live here than on campus in the US. the very cheapest are right on campus and less than $200USD a month (including all utilities and such).

The public transportation system's pretty easy to get around in though, right?

And oh man. CHEAP HOUSING. I live in California so... yeah.

very easy once you figure them out, yeah. the train systems are my favorite thing about japan; there's almost no need for a car here, which is my most people ride bikes between stations.

of course, paying to ride the train both ways (when I already do to get to one campus) everyday starts to add up. the schools are all connected by a monorail line, which is faster than the buses, but a bit more pricey than the regular railways.
