For those of you who RP smut, do you like dirty talk? Do your characters? If you write it, what kind of stuff do you usually say?

if you're going for hot and kinky then yes, preferably one person being dominant over the other, ordering them around etc

I love dirty talk and having my characters be dirty talked to, but I'm pretty sure most RPers just spout bad porn dialogue. Or even worse, bad HENTAI DOUJINSHI lines.

Nothing is worse than having your female character being called a cocksheath, a cumdisposal, or any of those other dumb hentai terms.

seriously. dirty talk in fanfic and rp makes me want to crawl in a hole and die. it's terrible all across the board too

i've even seen m/m scenes where assholes are also called cunts (?!?!?!) and the name "dirty whore" is as common as breathing

I hate that shit. It is just so awfully awkward. The phrase "look out we have a badass!" comes to mind because it always sounds like someone trying way too hard to be that.

In fact, I don't think I've ever read good dirty talk. What would you recommend to someone who's curious?

I do write dirty talk but it's dependent on the character. Some like to do it, some are too shy to do it.

One of them is very dominating and loves to say dirty stuff but he tends to be descriptive instead of using much profanity. Less is more with the profanity with him since he is usually very reserved and standoffish, so even just him telling someone that he's going to tease them until they beg to be fucked has a good bit of impact.

I don't write porno/hentai style dialogue mentioned by other anons; degradation may be a kink for some but the misogyny aspect to some of it in m/f scenes in particular makes me so uncomfortable that it's unsexy for me. The only time I've come close to that was a character calling the other (male) a slut/whore during sex specifically for mindfuck purposes.

I try to go with stuff like "come for me," because the first time another character used that in a log it was the hottest thing ever. "You like that?" and "right there," are good ones too.

I also have dominant characters that like commanding the other to tell them how it feels. The dirty talk they get in reply has mixed results. Too flowery and it's meh.

Fucking love dirty talk. I don't go directly to random porn shit but one of my characters (who is otherwise not really a foul-mouthed person) calls his partner a slut/whore/etc when it fits in the scene, and has been called that. Also, the characters with whom I write smut (with the exception of one who's relatively innocent-minded) use words like fuck, cock, asshole etc with impunity.

I also have a thing for my characters making a character who doesn't normally talk dirty do it, i.e. "Does that feel good? Tell me what you want/what you're feeling" etc
