rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Ugh. Okay, the Phoenix family (well part of it) lived near my old home town and since he was dating (later married, I guess) Summer Phoenix, he was around town occasionally.

I was working as the night manager of a health food store and I had no idea who he was. This was before Ocean's 11 came out, which was the first movie I'd ever seen him in. One night, I get a call from my cashier to come up to the front to talk to a customer. This guy I've never seen before, have no idea who he is, is standing there with a bill of like $200+ of crazy vegan food and he tells me he forgot his wallet. This isn't unusual. Shit happens. Except then, he tells me I should let him leave with an IOU to come back the next day and pay and I'm like WTF? That's not the way commerce works, dude.

So I tell him I can't do that, and he spends the next hour+ stalking me around the store, trying to convince me to let him walk out without paying for all this merchandise. Never once does he try to actually tell me who he is or give me some indication of why he thinks I should let him do this (an employee came up to me much later and told me who he was, but by then I was so irritated with him, I didn't give a fuck).

That was annoying enough, but while I was in the cash office counting down one of my cashiers, he asked another employee to use one of our phones and he called Summer on it. When I came out of the office, he gave me this smarmy look, held out the phone and said, "Your friend is on the phone."

It was so hard not to make a snide remark, but I didn't know who was on the phone and I was worried he might have actually convinced someone to call my boss about this, so I took the phone. She gives me a sob story about a birthday party and he's the one with the ice cream, can't I please let him leave and pay tomorrow?

I finally agreed to call my boss and let him make the decision (which of course he caved to), just to get him the fuck out of my store. To this day, I still rage when I think about, "Your friend is on the phone."

I didn't know about that, but I can't say it surprises me. The guy's the textbook definition of douchebag.
