Took a break from rp...now I don't have the spark at all. And don't feel like pushing myself into it again until I at least have some kind of income.

It's be no big deal but I have a couple people who would like to play with me. I feel bad for making them wait, even if it's nobody's fault.

it's so frustrating when you like to ship but play a character who isn't forward (or want slow burn) in a game. i always end up feeling like the flirtatious characters naturally win out, which i realize is how it tends to go irl, but... ugh. and i don't want to immediately approach other players about shipping because i like to see the characters interact for a bit to see if they have chemistry first!

I used to think I was an okay writer but RP's making me think that I'm not. Most of my tags are a week old. All of them are PSLs the other players were excited for at first. I'm constantly second guessing everything I write. Maybe I make weird choices or my dialog is bad. It takes me hours to write tags.

Always worrying that when my character makes an IC mistake that I’ll be punished for it. My last game was small and the mod encouraged people to do what makes sense and to just be IC but if you did anything remotely unlike what the mod wanted or pre-scripted, you would be publicly shamed in the Discord chat and ICly shit on for months. People isolated “problems” until no one was doing anything without the mod’s blessing. I know not everyone is like that but I always worry.

thread partner: you're a great writer and I'm having fun in our scene but would it kill you to not write four long paragraphs of introspection for every line of dialogue? I'm trying to keep up but the fact that I can't match your long-ass tags every time makes me feel like I'm not keeping up my side of the deal and I'm intimidated af.

i help care for a relative who went through a stroke but he's turning into kind of an asshole as time goes on

i know he's overemotional about certain things but it drives me fucking nuts when he tries to "win" conversations or gets pushy/angry about the most minor shit

i'm trying to be understanding and not snap at him but it sucks having to bottle up my emotions until i can scream into a pillow later

i went shopping for them yesterday and he got pissy as fuck because i forgot to grab juice. even though i grabbed milk, mix for chocolate milk, they get good tap water, and they have other drinks at home like coffee

i don't get paid but i still want to help out so the wife isn't dealing with 100% of this shitty behavior

Getting tags from friends, even when we have stuff planned, is like pulling teeth. It's not uncommon for me to go over a week without receiving any tags.

I really hate how none of the games out there are scratching my itch. It seems like that's the only way to get tags in this hobby.

mmm yes, brought a discord rp friend back to dwrp with me and now my tags are bottom of their tdl all day every day! and don't get touched for days at a time while they boomerang with other people! feels amazing!
