I was so shocked when we got the bomb rune. Like, "YOU MEAN I CAN USE BOMBS WHENEVER I WANT AND DON'T HAVE TO GO BUY THEM WHEN I RUN OUT?!?!?" it was amazing. It's my favorite rune. Though I'm slowly learning the ice one is more useful than I originally gave it credit for (like there's one battle that I discovered after the fact it would've been far more easy to use it than my frigging sword/arrows).

Loving the exploring too. Was also surprised when I got to one point where I got the "you can't go any farther" message. It was so far the only downer I've had because it LOOKS LIKE I should be able to go farther but I just. Can't. Kind of wish they'd bounded everything by water to avoid that. Or Himalayan-height mountains that'd be impossible to pass. Or something.

I just got back from Beauty and the Beast and I thought it was pretty good, and it's totally rekindled my desire to play the Beast. I'll be straight up: I want a smut scenario where he's still not human. So: general beast/monster kink, size difference, etc. I also want to bring in knotting, excessive cum, and generally play around with the fact that he's a beast. Beyond that, I'm flexible on the details. Leave a sock here please.

question from a former player considering coming back with a different character: how big is the god plot right now? i've been out of the game for a while and never liked the god stuff much. is it easy to avoid?

It's very big.

The dreamscape event was because of God interference and this current plot which is spanning over this month and the next is God feuding and corrupting. You also can't access Mana because of God wank. So it does have an effect on certain game mechanics.

The Gods generally do have a heavy hand in the game now. They're are plenty of players that don't mess with them but this current event encourages neutral players to get involved, not necessarily pick a side, but just deal with it.

The network is currently being spammed with God stuff and at this current junction I can't see how you're going to be able to avoid it because of how many players, even neutral players, are getting involved.

If you really don't dig the Gods now isn't a great time to jump back in the game when they've being being used quite heavily. I don't personally think they're going away anytime soon but I see maybe it letting up quite a bit after this. I'd wait till next app cycle for sure so you can avoid this current God plot.

The mods have also let on that they have something in the works about the intro logs and are really encouraging people to app because it's supposed to be amazing. With the new arrivals appearing in the middle of the God plot I'd really avoid it because I have a feeling you're going to wind up in the middle of a God plot whether you like it or not.

It's unavoidable now. If you hated the god plot you should probably pass.

no, and believe it or not more than one person can hold the same opinion about something. I actually *like* the show well enough as a fun, no-focus watch, but the animaion quality is inconsistent and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves. if you're going to play from this, for the love of god don't pick icons where the characters look like they were drawn for a squash frame. love yourself.

Zero has all the themes of the series, the only difference is there's more wide spread suffering that isn't just confined to the girls of the series to prime them for the protag's healing dick. Zero has a lot of flaws, but the whole franchise has a lot of flaws and acting like Zero doesn't feed into FSN and FSN doesn't feed into Zero while bemoaning the beauty of the VN is neckbeard talk, plain and simple.

I'm also fond of the one about the family that went to the animal park to see the animals and the only animal there was a small dog. The husband turns to the wife as they're leaving and says: 'well, that was a shih-tzu'

I'd say the cast is pretty good! A lot of the major secondary characters on the ship mostly fall into the 'serious person who gets pulled into his orbit' type, but they execute it pretty well and there's enough variety in their impressions of him that they dont' feel like retreads of the same character. And the less important characters who just go with the flow are really fun whenever they pop up. The antagonists are pretty solid, too, especially later on when even they start getting affected by how non-seriously he's taking this.

It's technically 'steampunk supernatural-fantasy period drama', but try the Parasol Protectorate series (the first book in the series is Soulless, and it's by Gail Carriger). Basically, the main character can turn off the magical abilities of anyone or anything she touches. The local supernatural creatures (ghosts, werewolves, vampires, etc.) do not like this one bit. I will admit that it is a bit heavier on the 'supernatural' part than the 'fantasy' part, but it's still a fun read. The first series takes place in the 1870s, and the sequel series (still being written) takes place in the 1890s.

There's also a spinoff series that takes place about 25 years before the first series, but it involves entirely different characters (two of them do show up in the main series as secondary characters, but that's it).

RahXephon is a mind trip that you would probably have to watch twice to fully understand.

Basically, the creator watched Evangelion and said "I can do better than that."

These are the ones I keep up-to-date on right now:

Sfeer Theory: Magic functions like a field of scientific study, and people go to a university to learn how to use it. The main character is an illegal magic-user (you have to be licensed to use magic) who works at the university as a janitor. One day he gets caught doing magic to help speed up his cleaning, and the professor who catches him decides to take him on as an assistant. The art for this webcomic is absolutely gorgeous, but the updates are slow (averaging about once every two weeks on an irregular schedule).

Sleepless Domain: It's hard to give a summary for this one without revealing an early-series spoiler, but basically it's a magical girl webcomic which asks questions like "is it ethical to ask teenage girls to fight for humanity's sake" and "what should we do with these girls once they lose their powers and have PTSD by the time they're 20 (if they live that long)". It can get pretty dark at times, but it's also really funny too.

Kiwi Blitz: A 15-year-old girl who participates in mecha battles (this is done for sport and is shown on tv) gets gifted a mecha of her own for her birthday. She decides to become a superhero. All the bad guys in the city go "Aww, that's cute. But I guess we have to kill her now." It's by the same artist/author as the previous webcomic (she's doing both at the same time), so a lot of the writing and humor and stuff is similar between the two. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.

all people know about me is the handle i go by and where i might be from. its a preference.

I put my real age, but I think a lot of people are bothered by it because younger players (ones currently in college usually) do make a big deal out of it sometimes.

Most of my friends don't have any post secondary, and decent jobs. One of them works as an accountant type thing for a government party (payroll and suchlike), though we had a friend at the time who worked for said political party (also no degree, but did take three years of post-secondary), but she also had several years experience doing a similiar job for a used carlot.

And another friend who works as an offoce person for a construction place and she seems to enjoy it. I don't know her pervious experience though because she had the job when I met her.

It does kinda feel that way. But as an SU player who does my own icons, this legitimately can be a bit of a problem. It doesn't bother me just watching the show, but when I'm poring over screencaps, my character can look pretty different from episode to episode and just weird-looking a lot.
