Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

Political topics are still banned. Report threads and they will be deleted.

low/no AC sci-fi friendly game

(Anonymous) 2017-03-07 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Looking for a game I can casually play that would be suitable and welcoming to an older Trek character. Preferably with a Trek cast presence (including new AU casts, just if they are also open to tagging with "original" timeline characters), TNG/DS9/VOY presence preferred but not necessarily required. Low or no AC, sandbox or SOL is great, space or sci-fi setting would be preferred. Open to jam jars or those nebulous "you can go home and come back whenever you want" type settings, with some leaning towards the latter.

The Calling? ( We're tiny and slow but we have a bit of everything, including sci-fi! No cast presence (yet) though, sorry.

Thank you, kind anon! This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!

life is strange

(Anonymous) 2017-03-09 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Playing around with the idea of either Max or Chloe, but I can't decide on which one lol and I'm not sure what type of game either of them would fit in. Any thoughts? Any ideas on how to decide on a muse?

They're both so different in attitude and expression, I'd say go with your gut and write who comes easiest. Try some shorthand first person fanfic to get a better feel, maybe?

I want to play Youmu somewhere but I'm not sure which game would be the most appropriate for her. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've considered Victory Road before, but I don't think I drummed up enough interest to get a considerable sample.

What are you talking about, only half her Pokemon should be ghost type.

In my TDM top level, I gave her a Duskell and she was terrified.

It was amazing.

Any modern or futuristic games out there that allows OCs?

tanagura, if you don't mind smut games

Looking for a game

(Anonymous) 2017-03-16 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm looking for a game that has the following (I am flexible however!):

-manageable ac
-backtag friendly
-no smut
-over arching plot
-fine with AU settings!
-fine with horror elements, sci-fi, fantasy, historic... basically any genre
-slow to medium pace
-community based

I think that's about it! These are the characters I am offering:

-Rider (Fate/Stay Zero)
-Pearl (Steven Universe)
-Brooklyn (Gargoyles)
-Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon)
-Rodimus (Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye)
-Walter Strickler (Trollhunters)

Lost Carnival?

- AC is 10 comments, extra activity can be used to buy rewards
- backtag friendly
- smut is allowed, but certainly not the focus
- over-arching plot
- world-hopping game that takes characters to a variety of different locations; characters come from a ton of different backgrounds and settings
- not really sure how to define the pace, but i'm pretty easily overwhelmed by games and i don't have any trouble keeping up here
- community based

we have a SU cast (Steven, Greg, Amethyst, Peridot, Lapis) and a couple characters from Transformers Prime, but any of your characters would be welcome and fit in really well here, i think!

I was going to reply to this comment but you totally beat me to it, anon. Bless you.

And to the OP: we'd totally love a Pearl! I think she'd do well in this setting. Also, she rocks in a general sense.

i'm feeling the itch to play this girl again, so i figured i'd give this a shot! i'd love any suggestions for a good second game to house dal dal in. preferably something that isn't too plot heavy and/or requires a lot of focus and intensity, but nothing too terribly sol either. probably not a monster or sex game, at least not one with sex as a main component. thanks!

Looking for a low ac, laid back game to bring the eighth incarnation of the Doctor from Doctor Who to. Don't really mind on canonmates or not, just something that's a bit forgiving for someone who doesn't always have time to churn out a lot of tags a day.

searching for a game!

[personal profile] el_paso 2017-03-23 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey nonnies! I'm looking for a game to toss Logan into! Currently I'm test driving him at Little Hades and his Days!version at Pathema, but I'm still shopping around to give this wolverine a semi-forever home.

What I'm after:

• Low/Med AC
• Med pace (I'm busy most weekends and don't want to miss stuff if I don't check the comm)
• Plot intensive/overarching plot
• Characters can affect the setting (no all-powerful, untouchable NPCs)
• Backtag friendly
• Any genre p much, AU-friendly
• Smut's fine, just gimme a plot so he's not bored af and drinking the game dry pls

That's pretty much it? He's adaptable as all get out and functions well as a lcw or with castmates so I'm up for any suggestions!

What are the most antagonist-friendly games out there nowadays, guys?

(Anonymous) 2017-03-23 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Murdergames. Villains are mostly searched for and well-accepted there.

The problem is that the requirement for murder games are not exactly the easiest of bunch.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-23 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[community profile] genessia too. Villains are openly encouraged to cause chaos and shit for good characters to respond to. Just a couple of weeks ago a city was attacked by one and they're still cleaning up the mess.

The game is a sandbox with tons of freedom afford to player-run plots.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-23 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
lost raiders loves it some antagonists. the game is very morally grey and the bad guy characters there are all really popular for cr

(Anonymous) 2017-03-24 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Little Hades is set in hell and is very villain/antagonist-friendly!
