another vattu fan! i've been reading dahm for a long time, it's good to see another fan around.

i like sleepless domain, poppy o'possum, and travelogue http://traveloguecomic.com/ a meandering slice-of-life-y comic that updates very, very slowly (but i love the art). occasionally i catch up on strong female protagonist, hemlock http://hemlock.smackjeeves.com/ , witchy http://witchycomic.com/ , gunnerkrigg court, and never satisfied.

of those i think my faves are sleepless domain, poppy, and travelogue.

dahm is my comics hero tbh! his thoughts on writing are so interesting, and he's just a wonderful example of how relentless effort makes good into great

thank you, these look wonderful! i remember the first incarnation of never satisfied, but i think it's changed since then. i'm excited to catch up

i read a bunch already mentioned, but there's also stand still stay silent (http://www.sssscomic.com/comic.php) which is post-apocalyptic friendship-and-monsters, and dumbing of age (http://www.dumbingofage.com/) which is... about college.

sakana (http://www.sakana-comic.com/) is also cute sol about people who work in a fish market and their adventures in trying to socialize.

the archipelago (http://thearchipelago.smackjeeves.com/comics/1891878/book-1-page-1/) has a special place in my heart because of just how long i kept up with it, and it ended recently, but as you can see the art really takes some time growing into its own.

+1 to Gunnerkrigg Court and Stand Still Stay Silent, and also adding Paranatural (www.paranatural.net) for being one of my favorite webcomics right now.

If you want to read something that's really old but fully completed, Kid Radd (kidradd.muddasheep.com/kidradd_guillaume/) is a classic and gets surprisingly deep for something that starts like a gag a day comic.

These are the ones I keep up-to-date on right now:

Sfeer Theory: Magic functions like a field of scientific study, and people go to a university to learn how to use it. The main character is an illegal magic-user (you have to be licensed to use magic) who works at the university as a janitor. One day he gets caught doing magic to help speed up his cleaning, and the professor who catches him decides to take him on as an assistant. The art for this webcomic is absolutely gorgeous, but the updates are slow (averaging about once every two weeks on an irregular schedule).

Sleepless Domain: It's hard to give a summary for this one without revealing an early-series spoiler, but basically it's a magical girl webcomic which asks questions like "is it ethical to ask teenage girls to fight for humanity's sake" and "what should we do with these girls once they lose their powers and have PTSD by the time they're 20 (if they live that long)". It can get pretty dark at times, but it's also really funny too.

Kiwi Blitz: A 15-year-old girl who participates in mecha battles (this is done for sport and is shown on tv) gets gifted a mecha of her own for her birthday. She decides to become a superhero. All the bad guys in the city go "Aww, that's cute. But I guess we have to kill her now." It's by the same artist/author as the previous webcomic (she's doing both at the same time), so a lot of the writing and humor and stuff is similar between the two. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.

paranatural. comedy/action comic about a group of superpowered middle schoolers fighting evil spirits and investigating paranormal activity in their hometown. it has nice art and great reaction faces, plus lots of amusing little gags.

cucumber quest. cute bunnies on rpg adventure. pokes fun and deconstructs typical tropes of rpgs. cute art and wonderful use of colour.
