Help! My rp partner hasn't invited me to play our OTP in their game! (´･ω･`)

Bout of depression and family issues and work issues have curbed a lot of threads I had going that were amazing. I got back to a few of them and/or sent PMs to everyone I was involved with my apologies and a status update...right when it seemed everything was in the clear. Then it swung back and, again, I had to prioritize and let RP go.

I can only commit to quick, meaningless memes (i.e., tfln) and even sometimes that is too much. It sucks.

i want to tag, but then i stress about what i'm writing (or not writing), and i end another day without sending a single tag. at this point, i'm thinking of taking a long break from rp. it's just not fun anymore.

my cast has zero interest in rping with me, for months. i joined specifically to play with a cast, i've never really had one! i make toplevels, i get a tag or two, if they tag at all, then dropped. i tag theirs, i get a tag or two then dropped.

this is mitigated by my non-cast cr, of which there is plenty of and i enjoy intensely, but part of me still wishes for that cast cr..

tried to join a game, shortly after fell in a rut where i wanted to do anything but tag and ended up dropping

now i *want* to tag again, but bakerstreet is a useless wasteland.

Had a cast mate that I was super excited for top level on my game's tdm, put in a reservation, and then ghost. Bummer, but a tdm isn't a guarantee that someone's going to app. Had the same cast mate, different player posted to the tdm a couple months later, reserved, actually apped and replied to a plotting post, and then complete radio silence. They haven't done a single thread and are about to idle out this month.

I can't help but feel like i'm the problem? But I have a ton of great cross canon cr so I really have no idea. it just sucks all around.

i'm not sure atm if my lack of interest in tagging is due to rl being a mess or that i may have loss interest in rp. or both? when i do tag i'm happy but then i just lost steam for days at a time and i feel like shit for going silent on people. i'm not sure if i need to take a break but it might be the only answer.

i have a couple of rp partners that tag one character of mine (one i am not particularly active with) fairly consistently but drop threads all the time with the other character (that i am actively rping and active with)

I keep trying to start fun things with plurk mutuals but have better luck tagging strangers.

People keep hyping up my ideas and then ignoring them when I follow through.

I'm starting to feel like I'm being made fun of. Like they're responding sarcastically and really think the ideas are stupid but letting me think they're earnest about it and laughing when I actually do them.

I know that's in my head, but it was done to me IRL as a kid/teenager often enough that it's hard not to get the same feeling, even when I know better.

And then I feel bad for thinking people here would do that.

RP has always been my escape from RL problems but lately it's getting harder to ignore them, not just mine but also people around me going through hard times. sometimes I feel so stupid for sitting around writing about things that don't matter, but I miss it when I don't do it. :(

my psls and meme threads are more engaging than one of my games, and i may drop it. feels bad though since i just apped into it, and have amazing cr with someone.

I'm feeling a little down on myself. I've had a couple recent TDMs where my characters haven't received much interest, I feel like I'm not acknowledged when I speak up in discords, and I just feel kinda like one of the unpopular kids in the lunchroom with nowhere to sit.

I know it's because I play OCs and characters from obscure canons, and I know it's probably just timing and stuff, but the part of my brain that lingers from middle school is getting very loud when it tells me the common factor is me and no one likes me.

first, i got asked if i was secretly someone that someone had rped with back in the lj days because of "a similar playstyle". then someone else sent me a long, emotional message because they thought i was someone else they played with back in the day and had ended things on a ad note with. then, and by then i mean today, i got accused by yet another person of being someone else trying to "sneak in" and "return to dwrp under a new alias" bc the obscure muse i picked is one they used to play four years ago and that proves i'm secretly some old wanker. (this is setting aside the person who asked me if i was someone who ghosted them bc hey, i and this other person both know arabic isn't spoken in afghanistan, so we must be the same person too, right - that person at least admitted they were wrong, while no one else so far has.)

as much fun as i'm having with the normal people i've met, i'm sort of getting creeped out by this, and it's making me second-guess apping into any games. i don't want any further attention from people who think random strangers are secretly someone they know. and i don't want to say the wrong thing to one of these people and end up with them going to wankgate and blowing the whole thing up into a big drama fest.

it sucks bc i was really looking forward to this game i was interested in. one of the normal people i've been tagging with invited me to it and she seems really chill and cool and i'm sure there's good writers there. but the atmosphere in dwrp is a lot more paranoid than i'd initially thought and it's really uncomfortable and not the kind of extra stress i need in a year like this.

The mods of this game haven't responded to my message asking what I should do because I missed the first task and didn't get a mission for my character as a result. Do I message them again or just idle out?
